Eyelash extensions. They’re the semi-permanent option for giving your lashes mega-volume, length and va-va-voom without applying even one swipe of mascara.
There are about a dozen and a half makeup tricks out there, but for people with very short or sparse lashes, all those mascara wands and eyelash curlers can get a little overwhelming. One dramatic, ultra-effective alternative that lasts way longer than your mascara: eyelash extensions.
Eyelash extensions allow you to add volume and length to your existing lash line using false lashes, typically applied one at a time. They’re glued on, so they last longer than typical falsies — and, when done properly, they feel just like your normal lashes.

There are three types of lash extensions: synthetic, silk and mink. Size availability ranges from 6mm to 17mm. And there are different severities of curl including J curl to C curl.
Once selected, the lashes are applied one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not irritate the eye nor damage the natural lash. However, since allergic reactions are possible, there are different types of glue based on one’s sensitivity
We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have a patch test to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.
Your lashes will be cleaned of any make up and oil products and dry in preparation for the application of the lashes.
To begin, you’ll lie down on your back and get comfortable. Your bottom lashes will be shielded with under-eye pads, stickers or tape. Prepare for your eyes to remain closed for the entire application, as your technician delicately affixes each extension with tweezers.
The technician shall be using tweezers to pick up the individual falsie, dip the end in glue and stick it to one of my real lashes. In between adding lashes, we will occasionally brush the eyelashes with a little bristle brush (just like on a mascara) to keep them neat and tidy.
The first session will result in a full set of beautiful new lashes to your own specified final look as discussed in your technician in the consultation.

Eyelash extensions are individual strands of mink lashes expertly attached to each natural eyelash with a special medical grade adhesive. They are applied to the eyelash itself and are never in direct contact with your skin. Eyelash Extentions are semi - permanent synthetic, mink or silk fibers which are applied strand to strand of your natural lashes. This enhances your natural eye or can create the illusion of a different shaped eye such as a more lifted appearance, wider more open eyes or almond shaping for a sultry look. Envious Lashes can be applied for every day wear or special events.
A full set application will depend on the volume being applied. A full set is between 1 -2 hours.
Eyelash Extension application should not hurt. Some may experience a bit of stinging from the adhesive however this is easily adjusted by making sure your eyes are completely closed or by switching to a sensitive formula.
Eyelash Extentions will be seamless and appear as if they are growing from your natural lash line. The effect is as though you are wearing great mascara without the need for actual mascara. Custom styling and shaping will be determined upon consultation.
We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks. If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Your natural eyelashes fall off every 45-60 days due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Other factors such as exposure to steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall out sooner. A touch up is needed to fill in any lashes that have fallen.
We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes. The extensions do have a natural curl but if more of a curl is required we recommend using a heated eyelash curler.
We advise against the use of mascara as the purpose of the eyelash extensions is to give you the look of a flawless mascara without having to wear any. However if you require a little more pop for an evening out then NON-waterproof mascara may be used ONLY on the TIPS of your lashes. Waterproof mascara is difficult to remove and can, therefore, damage your extensions in removal. Also, it contains a chemical that may interact with the adhesive and cause it to dry out resulting in premature extensions loss. Applying even Non-water proof mascara to the base of your lashes will result in the same thing, as removal of the mascara, will cause you to rub your extensions and therefore causing the extensions to shed. Additionally applying mascara will add more weight to your natural lashes. We apply the maximum volume that your natural lashes can hold and by weighting them down with products may result in the breaking and shedding of your natural lashes causing weak areas and damage. Envious Lashes is in the process of developing a mascara that is eyelash extension safe.
You can absolutely wear makeup as long as any oil-based products are not going on or around your eyes. Eye shadow fallout may lighten the appearance of your eyelashes so giving them a gentle brush will remove the fallout, avoid mascara as previously discussed.
Eyelash extensions will only affect your eyeglasses if they are too long.
We ask that you keep your brand new eyelashes dry for the first 48 hours after application and each time after maintenance. Once the 48 hour curing period is over you may get them wet without affecting the application. Eyelash extensions are waterproof and are intended to replace mascara so you can swim and shower with them on.
The medical grade adhesive we use needs a 48 - hour curing period in order to ensure that your extensions stay attached. Getting your eyelashes wet before they are fully cured will lead to premature extension shedding as well as causing stinging to the eye s as the adhesive is no t dry and may fume.
Your lash extensions are easily removed when done by a professional. A solvent is applied to your eyes which will break down the adhesive bond causing the extensions to slip easily off your natural lashes without causing any damage. DO NOT attempt to remove extensions on your own as you will damage your natural eyelashes. Baby oil does not work in the removal of eyelash extensions.

How to Take Care of Eyelash Extensions
Avoid Water For The First 24 Hours. You want the glue to really set in so that your lashes last as long as possible.
Avoid Oil-Based Products. According to Hughes, oil breaks downs the glue that holds up the lashes.
Avoid Waterproof Eye Products.

No. Your technician should be trained properly to apply the adhesive and lashes in a way that is completely harmless. Your eyes are closed the entire time of the procedure. No matter how bad an allergic reaction may get, you will never go blind. The worse case scenario is that you need to go to the eye doctor to get specific eye drops to treat an allergic reaction.
If you experience any burning or discomfort during the procedure, causing your eyes to tear or making you cry, this is a huge red flag and you should certainly speak up. You may need to have your technician change the glue. Getting lash extensions should be a completely pain-free experience.
