Laser Lipolysis, commonly known as ‘laser lipo’, is a liposculpture procedure for the removal of stubborn pockets of fat such as saddlebags, love handles and double chins. It can effectively reduce areas of fat resistant to diet or exercise with fewer side effects than traditional procedures such as liposuction.
The procedure uses a laser to successfully ‘melt’ unwanted fat on the face and body, and then either allows to body to metabolise the melted fat or uses ‘aspiration’, a form of suction that permits the practitioner to remove greater quantities of fat.
Because you are awake during the procedure, there are fewer risks involved than with traditional liposuction, which is often done under general anaesthetic. Laser lipo is not a weight loss treatment and is not suited to people who are significantly overweight, it is better for those with small localised areas of stubborn fat. The results give rise to a more harmonious body shape in a short time, without the bruising and swelling of more aggressive procedures.
Anyone who has unwanted, stubborn areas of fat may be a candidate for laser lipolysis. The ideal candidate should be at, or close to, their healthy body weight and have realistic expectations of what the treatment can achieve. People who have a significant amount of weight to lose or are obese are not suitable for this treatment as it is intended to contour and shape the body rather than provide significant weight loss. Pregnant women are also not suitable for this treatment.
Laser lipolysis is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat from fiber-optic lasers at various wavelengths to melt body fat. This is a different process than liposuction, which involves removing fat from the body using vacuum suction. The added benefit of laser lipolysis is that it spurs the production of the protein collagen, making skin more taut.
Clinical results were drawn from the laser lipolysis and liposuction procedures of more than 2,000 patients over a three-year span. Researchers found that patients overall lost significant fat bulk in different parts of the body and saw an increase in skin tightness. Patients didn’t suffer from any major complications, though some complained of minor pain and bruising.
Leading up to your appointment, you should drink plenty of water. For all stomach area treatments please ensure you have visited the Lavatory pre-treatment.
Your technician will have a consultation with you pre-treatment to ensure correct paperwork has been completed and all questions answered.
During treatment your technician will mark on your body with pen the areas to be targeted.
They will then fit a custom applicator pattern to fit your body and target the right area.
You will then be asked to lie down on a bed to fit the applicators on to your body. The applicators will be secured into the pattern to rest on the body part that is being treated. The Laser Lipo machine will then be turned on and treatment will begin.
When the treatment starts you will feel a cooling sensation that helps keep your skin comfortable throughout the treatment. The first four minutes of the treatment is the build phase.
After these few minutes you will feel alternating sensations of deep warmth and cooling as the lasers start to destroy your cells. Treatment is typically approx 30 mins.
You can expect to lose up to a fist-sized amount of fat from the treated area by the time treatment is completed. You can usually start to see results in 6-8 weeks. The results are more dramatic and immediate where several treatments take place within 2 weeks of one another.
The heat from the laser can also help tighten the skin so you may instantly feel more toned.
For years now, liposuction has remained one of the top cosmetic procedures performed in the UK. Between 2015 and 2017, the number of lipo procedures increased by 16.3%, or a jump of 363,912 treatments. Yet in addition to surgery, there is a new treatment that is reshaping bodies and melting fat: laser liposuction.
This weight loss procedure isn’t as well-known as its surgical counterpart, but it can be just as beneficial to those who want to shed a bit of unwanted weight. Here are three surprising facts about this treatment that you may not have heard before.
When most people hear the word “liposuction,” they tend to think of an invasive surgery that can take a long time to recover from. However, laser lipo isn’t the same as the procedures of old. Laser liposuction uses lasers and absorbs about 90% of the water in fat anywhere the patient chooses to get the procedure done. In addition to liposuction with lasers, there is also laser cellulite removal for those who want to target specific areas of the body.
How much does liposuction cost? While the price of either procedure can vary depending on where it’s performed and how comprehensive the treatment will be, a typical liposuction procedure can cost nearly £10,000, according to Harley Street. Because laser lipo is an outpatient treatment, the cost is considerably less.
Liposuction patients are three times more likely to gain weight if they don’t eat healthy, and they’re four times as likely to put on weight if they don’t exercise. Maintaining that weight loss after lipo means following a healthy lifestyle with good eating and exercise habits.

Yes, laser like treatments are completely non-invasive, and clients feel nothing. The paddles low level laser like technology has been studied and used for over 30 years for many biomedical purposes.
12.25 inches AVERAGE–the most lost in 18 sessions is 23 inches. People who make major lifestyle changes, are on the higher end of the average, and those who don’t, the lower end.
For the procedure, 3 sessions a week for 3-6 weeks, 45 min per session. You relax in a comfortable position, while a trained technician places two multi-laser paddles and two smaller paddles to the target areas. Then lay back, relax, read, or whatever you like. Then you go to the vibrating platform for exercise and lymphatic drainage.
That fat can be burned as energy in the body, or normal metabolic processing—just like when you exercise and release fat.
Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. True reflection of healed color can only be assessed 3-4 weeks after treatment. Touch-ups and/or correction of the shape/design is recommended at least 4 weeks after initial treatment. It will go from too dark, to too light, to just right!
Immediately after the procedure, the pigment will appear very sharp and dark. This is because the pigment is still seating on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually (do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin).
Once the healing of the skin starts taking place it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.
Your eyebrows will be the lightest tones during days 5-12 because the color is absorbed in the deeper layers of the skin. Later skin cells push it back to the upper layers. Once the healing is completed, you will enjoy a pair of beautiful, new, natural looking eyebrows.
