Transform Your Skin with Dermaplaning
Reveal Your Radiance with Dermaplaning Facial: Experience Smoother, Brighter Skin for a Youthful Glow
Dermaplaning is a gentle but effective exfoliation treatment, where a blade is moved over the skin to remove fuzzy peach hair and dead skin cells. The results are a beautifully smooth face that glows!
It’s a treatment the celebrities have been having before any big red-carpet event and makeup artists love it. Dermaplaning has been popular in America for years and only recently taken off in the UK.
Everyone’s main concern is that you will end up with thick, dark facial hair that matches your man’s! The truth is the answer is NO! The treatment does not make you a hairy beast. The hair on the face is a type of hair called vellus hair also known as peach fuzz. Vellus hair never changes; it grows back slowly and exactly the same as it was prior to the treatment.
Although I must warn you, this treatment is addictive and you soon get used to having the smoothest face you have ever felt. Your makeup goes onto the skin better and has a flawless appearance to it. Even when you take your makeup off, your skin is glowing.
Wondering if you should try dermaplaning versus microdermabrasion? They are both forms of physical exfoliation, but the methods are very different. Microdermabrasion sands and suctions dead skin cells, which also helps to uproot clogged pores around the nose, mouth and chin. Dermaplaning safely scrapes off the top layer of skin, so it is well suited for drier skin types and anyone who wants to get rid of peach fuzz. But, keep in mind, both methods are good for almost everyone and it could just boil down to your personal preference.

How does it work?
Dermaplaning involves the use of a sterile, surgical-grade scalpel to gently scrape the surface of the skin at a 45-degree angle. This carefully removes the uppermost layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz), revealing the fresh, glowing skin underneath.
Am I a good candidate?
Yes, dermaplaning is safe for almost all skin types. It is especially beneficial for those with dry or rough skin texture, dull skin, or mild acne scarring. However, it is not recommended for individuals with active cystic acne breakouts or severe rosacea.
Is the treatment safe?
Absolutely. When performed by a certified and experienced aesthetician, dermaplaning is a highly safe, completely non-invasive exfoliation treatment.
Does it hurt? Will it cause cuts?
The treatment is entirely painless and is often described as feeling like a gentle tickle or a light brushing sensation on the skin. While a surgical blade is used, the technique is highly precise and superficial, meaning cuts or nicks are extremely rare when performed by a professional.
Will it make the hair on my face grow back thicker and darker?
No. This is a very common myth. The vellus hair (peach fuzz) on your face will grow back exactly as it was before the treatment—at the same rate, thickness, and color. It will not turn into terminal hair (the thicker, darker hair found on other parts of the body).
What is the difference between dermaplaning and microdermabrasion?
While both are forms of physical exfoliation, microdermabrasion uses a diamond-tipped or crystal wand with suction to sand the skin and clear out pores. Dermaplaning uses a blade to scrape away dead skin and peach fuzz, making it generally better for sensitive or dry skin types that might be irritated by the suction of microdermabrasion.
Why is dermaplaning good for skin?
It instantly brightens the complexion, evens out skin tone, and leaves the skin incredibly smooth. By removing the barrier of dead skin and hair, it also allows your skincare products to penetrate deeper into the skin and helps your makeup apply flawlessly.
How often should I get dermaplaning?
We recommend coming in for a treatment every 4 to 6 weeks. This aligns with your skin’s natural cell turnover and rejuvenation cycle, helping you maintain that smooth, radiant glow all year round.
