Eyebrow
Microblading

Microblading

Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows. Microblading is an embroidery of small, precise strokes that mimic the effect of real hairs, and uses a special microblading pen to individually draw on the strokes.

Powder Ombre
Eyebrows

Ombre Eyebrows

Powder Ombre eyebrows are a semi-permanent eyebrow that lasts 3/5 years. This method creates pixilated dots to mimic powder filled brows with no harsh front or outline.  The process creates a soft, powder-filled brow similar to the look of makeup. The tails of the brow are darker and fade into a light start at the beginning of the brow, giving that eye-catching ombre makeup effect.

Eyelash
Lift

Eyelash Lift

This procedure lifts your natural lashes at the root and in an upward position, creating the appearance of longer, thicker lashes. To top off the treatment, a black lash tint is applied. This treatment is ideal for those that want a little extra oomph from their lashes, but without all the maintenance of lash extensions, or the daily use of an eyelash curler.

Semi-permanent
Make-up
Eyeliner

Semi-Permanent Make-up Eyeliner

Semi-permanent eyeliner is perfect for those who want to shave time off their beauty routine, or suffer with allergies to conventional make-up. This treatment works by inserting micropigments into the first layers of the skin. This means that the procedure is hassle-free and smug-proof compared to regular tattoos, where the ink goes much deeper.

Semi-permanent
Make-up
Lipstick

Semi-permanent Lipstick

Lip blushing is a cosmetic semi-permanent tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip colour, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. The final result is achieved by depositing pigments into your lips using small needles. While sometimes called lip tattooing, this treatment is more of a cosmetic enhancement rather than traditional tattoo art.

Scalp
Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation

Semi-permanent pigments are applied to the surface layer of skin. The pigments are implanted using microfine needles, a process which is also known as cosmetic tattooing. Effects will gradually fade over time, depending on factors such as age, exposure to sun and general skin care; however, top-ups can rectify this.

Hair
Extensions

Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are usually clipped with little beads, glued, or sewn on natural hair by incorporating additional human or synthetic hair.  If your hair is exposed to a never-ending use of heat tools, braiding, harsh products, your hair will be damaged whether you use hair extensions or not. Contrary to popular belief, hair extension is not a cause of damaged hair, but an effective solution.

Teeth
Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. It cannot make a complete colour change, but it lightens the existing shade. The outer layers of the teeth are oxidised without damaging the teeth, making for a very efficient and effective solution for restoring a radiant smile.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a great skin care treatment that removes dead skin cells and all the fluffy facial hair to give your skin a smooth and youthful appearance. It is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a 10 gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions. The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it.

Oxygen Facial

Oxygen Facial

Oxygen facials nourish your skin and promote collagen growth. The oxygen that’s applied to your face and neck is infused with vitamins, minerals, essential nutrients, and botanical extracts. The procedure improves blood circulation to the face, which helps the skin look bright and plump. Oxygen is known to accelerate wound healing and may also kill certain bacteria. Even Madonna swears to this technique!

LED Light Therapy Facial

LED Light Therapy Facial

LED Light Therapy is a ground-breaking new technique used in skin and facial treatments. The lights penetrate the layers of your skin to inspire collagen to grow, assist with skin restoration and provide anti-bacterial qualities to fight the scars left behind by acne.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy treatments are non-surgical and involve quick injections into the mesodermal layer of
the skin. The fluid put into the skin claims to help in a variety of ways depending on where it is
injected. From reducing the appearance of cellulite, acne and even stretch marks, mesotherapy is
ideal for various issues.

Vampire Facial

Vampire Facial

A vampire facial or PRP (platelet-rich-plasma) treatment is a procedure that aims to use a patient’s
blood to trick the body into healing and repair. The blood is extracted and then undergoes a spinning
process to separate the plasma, which is injected back by puncturing the skin using a micro-needle.

Prophilo

Prophilo

Prophilo or Profhilo is an injectable skin remodelling treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on the market, especially formulated for people whose skin lacks volume and elasticity. The result is improved skin quality lasting for up to 6 months.

Carboxy Therapy

Carboxy Therapy

Carboxy therapy for the face and body is a revolutionary treatment that uses carbon dioxide to reduce the appearance of scars, fade out stretch marks and diminish dark under eye circles. It is also an effective form of treatment for fat reduction, working to encourage the disposal of fat cells.

HIFU

HIFU

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is a relatively new cosmetic treatment for skin tightening that some consider a non-invasive and painless replacement for face lifts. It uses ultrasound energy to encourage the production of collagen, which results in firmer skin. The procedure is also used for overall facial rejuvenation, lifting, wrinkles, tightening, and body contouring.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are small injections of gel, typically made up of Hyaluronic acid, that fill in wrinkles and add volume to soft tissue. You can have dermal fillers in different parts of your face: around the eye, cheeks, mouth and jawline, as well as lip fillers administered directly into the lip tissue. Fillers restore lost volume to your face and plump areas, so that deep-set lines are smoothed out.

Botox

Botox

Botox is a procedure where minimal amounts of a toxin is injected to smooth facial wrinkles and improve your appearance. Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can’t contract. That makes wrinkles relax and soften. This treatment also serves as a solution to health issues such as sever underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis), chronic migraine, overactive bladder etc.

Hyaluronic Pen

Hyaluronic Pen

Hyaluron Pen is the newest technology of injecting Dermal Fillers without a needle. The purpose of the treatment is to inject Hyaluronic Acid to build volume of lips or reduce appearance of wrinkles. This is the newest technology of injecting Dermal Fillers without a needle. The purpose of treatment is to inject Hyaluronic Acid to build volume of lips or reduce appearance of wrinkles.

Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

Aqualyx is a biodegradable gel-based aqueous solution that reduces localised fat sitting under the skin. Aqualyx works by causing the dissolution of fat cells. After an injection, fat cells are completely dissolved. It is a great solution for removing fat in stubborn areas, without having to resort to more drastic procedures such as liposuction.

Hyaluronidase Dermal Filler Dissolving

Hyaluronidase Dermal Filler Dissolving

Hyaluronidase is a soluble protein enzyme that is typically used to break down the hyaluronic acid found in dermal filler. The solution works by breaking up the bonds that hold the HA molecules together— and encourages the body to reabsorb those molecules in a natural process. This treatment can be used to correct poor aesthetic outcomes, lumpy results and is also the first line treatment in a vascular complication due to filler emergency.

Laser
Lipo

Laser Lipo

Laser lipolysis, commonly known as ‘laser lipo’, is a liposculpture procedure for the removal of stubborn pockets of fat such as saddlebags, love handles and double chins. It can effectively reduce areas of fat resistant to diet or exercise with fewer side effects than traditional procedures such as liposuction.

Non-surgical Butt Enhancement

Butt Enhancement

Through vacuum therapy, this treatment stimulates the muscles, breaks the cellulite and fat deposits, removes toxins and improves lymphatic drainage. Vacuum therapy helps restore the natural elasticity of the skin to soften the appearance of dimples on the thighs and buttocks area. It is a both painless and safe procedure, focused on improving the texture and tone of the treated area.

Non-surgical Breast Enhancement

Breast Enhancement

This treatment is carried out through vacuum cupping, an effective non-surgical treatment during which blood and lymp circulation is enhanced. The vacuum suction causes the breasts muscles to contract and strengthen, which results in a more toned and fuller breast appearance. The process naturally reduces toxins from the body via the lymphatic system.

IPL Laser Hair
Removal

IPL Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a fast, practically painless technique of removing unwanted hair and ingrown hairs. This is a long term solution – if not permanent – and is ideal for both women and men of all skin types.

Laser Tattoo
Removal

Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is simple, safe, and produces fantastic results. The advanced technology works by allowing the light produced by the laser to pass through the skin and break up the tattoo pigment into tiny particles. The body then filters out these fragments via its immune system.

B12
Injections

B12 Injection

B12 is involved in producing red blood cells, maintaining a healthy nervous system, and converting food to energy. It also helps to regulate the immune system and mood. Low vitamin B12 levels cause a reduction in red blood cell formation and prevent them from developing properly

PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that promotes healing when injected. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. The idea is that injecting PRP into damaged tissues will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing.

Eyebrow Microblading

Microblading

Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in overplucked brows. Microblading is an embroidery of small, precise strokes that mimic the effect of real hairs, and uses a special microblading pen to individually draw on the strokes. It is a cosmetic technique that creates the appearance of fuller, perfectly shaped eyebrows by applying a semi-permanent makeup.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Eyebrow restoration: Many women use microblading to restore the look of their eyebrows after experiencing hair loss from tweezing, age or other factors.

No more daily makeup: Since the pigment is semi-permanent, you don’t have to worry about applying makeup every time you want fuller-looking eyebrows.

Overall enhancement and shape: Even if you already have full eyebrows, it may not be the shape you’d prefer.

Micro-blading is a method of applying of semi-permanent make-up. Micro-blading is done by manually inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin to give the impression of fullness and shape to the eyebrows. It is done via a manual blade so strokes are sharp and crisp. The results of this method should look natural and just like hair strokes. Semi-permanent makeup involves having pigment implanted into the epidermis using a fine needle – similar to a tattoo but the process is less painful, the “ink” used is usually mineral based and the results are not permanent.

When it comes to having micro-blading done, a technician will take six measurements on your brow bone to make out the perfect shape for your brows. The process usually takes between one a half to two hours and at least one touch up will be needed to get your final result. The healing process is relatively quick – but final results may not be visible until several weeks after your appointment because of how the skin heals. The results will not wash off and usually last for a couple of years – but can be maintained and kept for longer with touch ups, usually one a year.

Leading up to your appointment, you should avoid plucking or waxing your brows because your technician will be making your new brow shape based on current measurements they’ll make before starting the procedure. You should also avoid using exfoliators 72 hours before the application, like any skincare products containing glycolic acid, retinol, and alpha hydroxy acids, since they may inflame the skin, and taking medications such as blood thinners. The goal is for the skin to be as insensitive to the procedure as possible to limit bleeding.

Numbing cream is applied to your eyebrows, which numbs the area to ensure your comfort during the treatment.  We begin your treatment by using a microblade to make tiny cuts into “your approved design” of the drawn-on eyebrows, while creating hairstrokes.

We then apply our custom-mixed pigments over the top of the tiny hairstrokes, After a few minutes of allowing the color to settle, we will wipe away the excess pigment and that’s it! You’re ready to show off your beautiful new eyebrows to the world.

After the treatment, you may notice a little pinkness around your eyebrows upon completion of your first treatment.  You’ll notice that this will disappear within a couple of hours.  Overall, you will LOVE your brows immediately!

Initially, your eyebrows will appear darker.  During the next week to ten days, you’ll notice a lightening/softening of color, as you’ll lose approximately 30% of the color during this time.

You should avoid getting your eyebrows wet and avoid touching or rubbing them during the first ten days.

Our microblading treatments require two visits. Your initial appointment will generally take approximately 90 minutes. We will consult with you to get an idea of how you want your “dream eyebrows” to look.

We will then begin to design the shape of your new brows… with a brow pencil.

We utilize the 3D eyebrow technique by applying hair strokes across eyebrow ridges, thus creating a realistic, 3D effect.  The actual depth of the microblade will also vary on each hair stroke for even more realistic results.

DURATION OF RESULTS

FAQ

  • Make sure to follow ALL of the aftercare instructions
  • Avoid sunlight during the healing process
  • Make sure to come in for your touch up within 6 weeks (do NOT forget this part, it is very important for long term results)
  • Avoid placing any makeup over your brows while healing
  • Make sure to continue with waxing every 6-8 weeks to maintain your brow shape after your procedure
  • During the healing process make sure to eat as healthy as possible and consume as much water as possible to maintain hydration of the skin (you can also consider supplements to boost the healing process as well)

Some factors are in your control, and others may not be.

Factors within your control:

  • Nutritional status (vitamin status and how healthy you eat can influence how you heal)
  • Hydration of the skin (meaning you want to be drinking PLENTY of water)
  • How closely you follow aftercare instructions (avoiding make up, sun, lotion, etc. on the wound while it is healing
  • Smoking (smoking will reduce healing time and make your pigment fade quickly, please avoid smoking during the healing process)

Factors outside of your control:

  • The age of your skin (older skin tends to retain pigment less than younger skin)
  • Oily skin (the more oily the skin the shorter the results will last)
  • Excessive sun damage
  • Genetics and issues with immune function
  • Hormone imbalances such as hypothyroidism or estrogen dominance can impact pigmentation of the skin
  • Medical conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes
  • High levels of stress

The touch-up is an extra procedure which actually helps solidify your shape and helps the procedure last a significant amount of time. But what if you don’t want the touch-up or what if you can’t afford the touch up? What then? Well, unfortunately that will definitely reduce the amount of time that your brows will last.

If you do NOT get the touch up then you can expect that your brows will probably only last anywhere from 2-6 months (depending on other factors such as oil production as so on).

So compare the 12-15 months WITH the touch up to the 2-6 months WITHOUT the touch up.

Because this difference is so big I recommend that if you are serious about getting your brows microbladed that you always get the touch up.

But what if you want your brows to fade? What if you don’t like your brows or are unhappy with your results? Will they still last the 12-15 months? The answer is yes and no.

If you are unhappy with your results and actually WANT to fade them, then you can take several steps to help this process along.

By using certain steps, which I’ve outlined here, you can reduce the time that the pigment stays in your skin by months.

5 Ways to Fade your Brows

#1. Don’t Follow After Care Instructions

#2. Sweat & Exercise

#3. Microdermabrasion & Facials

#4. Sauna (preferably FAR IR sauna)

#5. Exfoliating Facial Products

#6. Don’t get Your Touch up

There is no single “perfect” candidate for microblading. Any woman (or man) who wants fuller-looking eyebrows, perfectly shaped to their wishes, is ideal for the treatment.

Many women choose the treatment because their hair growth has slowed or stopped due to plucking, and they’re tired of using other products to tediously “draw” their brows. But that’s just one scenario. Microblading is popular among women of all backgrounds and situations.

The service can be a little uncomfortable for those who are more sensitive. However, there is a numbing cream applied during to keep this to a minimum to where it is completely tolerable.

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding (treatment is possible, though anesthetic will not be possible)
  • On keloids or if you have tendency to keloid, birthmarks or moles.
  • Diabetic.
  • Serious diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, autoimmune disorders (doctor’s note is required)
  • Circulatory disorders (doctor’s note is required)
  • Any bleeding disorders (doctor’s note is required)
  • You’re taking blood thinning medication
  • Currently on Accutane or other strong retinoids (must wait until 6 months after treatment ends)
  • If any skin diseases symptoms or irritation appears on the area.
  • You’ve recently had Botox or Disport treatment (must wait 2 months)
  • Old PMU
  • You have a broken capillary in the eyebrows area
  • If you have a sunburn.
  • After waxing (must wait 3 days)
  • After chemical peels (must wait two weeks
  • Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks on the day of treatment.
  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment.
  • Do not take omega3 (fish oil) 1 week before treatment.
  • Do not tan or have intense sun exposure 3 days before treatment.
  • No waxing 2-3 days before treatment.
  • No chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser or any other intense treatments 2 weeks before treatment.
  • Shower and fix your hair as you need to take extra care not to get your brows wet for several days.

The touch up is recommended 4-6 weeks after initial treatment.  During your touch up, the artist will fill in missing hairs, add or make hairs longer or just achieve a darker color.

Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. True reflection of healed color can only be assessed 3-4 weeks after treatment. Touch-ups and/or correction of the shape/design is recommended at least 4 weeks after initial treatment. It will go from too dark, to too light, to just right!

Immediately after the procedure, the pigment will appear very sharp and dark. This is because the pigment is still seating on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually (do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin).

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.

Your eyebrows will be the lightest tones during days 5-12 because the color is absorbed in the deeper layers of the skin. Later skin cells push it back to the upper layers. Once the healing is completed, you will enjoy a pair of beautiful, new, natural looking eyebrows.

Powder Ombre Eyebrows

Ombre Eyebrows

Ombre brows, mbré Powder Brows (also known as powder, mist, microshading, ombré shading, or stardust brows) are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft shaded brow pencil look. It is particularly recommended for women with oily skin or combination skin, the darker skin types or anyone who fills in their brows regularly with pencil or shadow.

Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the browline. Powdered brows help clients achieve more of a powdered or ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great for clients with oily or mature skin.

Ombré Powder Brows differs from traditional tattooing in that it is surface work—meaning, the application is done on the epidermis layer of the skin. The technique is described by its name, with results being powdery with a faded front and a crisp tail, resembling the look of makeup.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Less invasive: Ombré powder brows are achieved using a small machine, which disperses extremely fine dots of pigments even into and across the skin in an airbrush or shading technique. Microblading uses a hand-tool that creates incisions or small cuts into the skin. Over time, repeated incisions into the same spots will cause trauma to the skin more quickly.

Less pain and bleeding: Ombré powder brows are less painful due to the airbrush-like technique we apply, which creates less trauma to the skin vs. the blading technique of microblading. The latter also creates cuts into the skin, thus more bleeding is involved. With ombré powder brows, minimal to zero blood surfaces during the procedure. Some of our clients say that getting ombré powder brows is a similar sensation to an electric toothbrush pressed against the skin or rapid tweezing; some discomfort is to be expected as a needle is utilized.

Lasts longer: Results do vary based on lifestyle, skin type, health, preferences, etc., but a single ombré powder brows session, using high-quality pigments, can last on average 2-3 years. Microblading, on the other hand, has a high likelihood of healing blotchy, spotty or with blurred strokes, thus requiring more frequent touch-ups, generating more long term wear and tear on the skin, eventually maxing out the skin’s lifetime capacity quickly. Like any injury to the skin, the body repairs the wounded area by building collagen fibers, creating a scar. Both treatments will eventually dull out the skin in this way permanently, so choosing the right method to save your skin integrity is critical.

Great for all skin types: Ombré powder brows are great for any skin type, unlike microblading, which is not suitable for those with oily skin. Microblading on oily skin requires several touch-ups, which causes more trauma to the skin.

Still looks natural: While ombré powder brows have a more “filled-in” look, the healed results appear like softly shaded brow pencil or powder. Immediately after the treatment, ombré powder brows can appear more saturated and bold, however, brows will fade 20-30%, leaving a very soft finish and shape that will allow our clients to quickly groom their brows going forward.

Ombre powder fill brows use a more traditional tattooing method, with longer lasting results, and works with most skin types, including oily or combination skin. Clients come back for colour boosts closer to the 12-18month mark. The brow is also fuller and more defined or dramatic than with the hair stroke method.

Because this method has been around for a long time, it does not have the best reputation. Many people are fearful of this method looking unnatural because it does create a more defined, solid look than microblading alone. But today’s powder fill permanent brows are way more natural looking than their 1985 predecessors. In fact, ombre fill brows can be made to look very natural, by not saturating the desired brow shape 100% with pigment and allowing for a defined yet soft/nonsolid look.

At London Body we shall have a consultation prior to proceeding with this treatment. We make sure that we have a clear understanding of the clients wishes and manage all expectations.

Ombre brows, also known as Powdered Brows, are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft shaded brow pencil look. This amazing technique, first developed in Asia, has been around for decades and has been gradually improving over the years. It gives great definition & depth to the eyebrows. It is particularly recommended for women with oily skin or combination skin or anyone who fills in their brows regularly with pencil or shadow.

Immediately following the procedure, your brows will appear darker and bolder. This is the initial healing process and it can last up to a week or a little longer. During the second week, you can expect some scabbing or flaking of the skin in pieces.

FAQ

  •  Pain threshold levels vary from person to person. Your artist will use a safe topical anaesthetic cream to ensure you remain comfortable & as pain-free as possible.

Ombre powder brows are great for any skin type, unlike microblading, which may not work well on oily skinned beauties.

Your eyebrow will look fuller, more defined as well as dramatic. Ombre brows last longer than microbladed brows, usually up to 5 years.

The ombre powder technique is a bit less invasive than that of microblading.

Also, this semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique is less painful than that of microblading.

Eyelash Lift

Eyelash Lift

Eyelash extensions. They’re the semi-permanent option for giving your lashes mega-volume, length and va-va-voom without applying even one swipe of mascara.

There are about a dozen and a half makeup tricks out there, but for people with very short or sparse lashes, all those mascara wands and eyelash curlers can get a little overwhelming. One dramatic, ultra-effective alternative that lasts way longer than your mascara: eyelash extensions.

Eyelash extensions allow you to add volume and length to your existing lash line using false lashes, typically applied one at a time. They’re glued on, so they last longer than typical falsies — and, when done properly, they feel just like your normal lashes.

If you’ve ever considered getting eyelash extensions but feel more than a bit bamboozled by all the different options, then you’ve come to the right place.

What we offer at London Body Centre

You can choose the type of finished look you want. Some may want a more dramatic look, more natural or maybe you want more volume?

Treatments administered by our professional, highly qualified clinical practitioners

We follow the strictest medical protocols

Treatments carried out in a regulated, clinical and safe environment

There are three types of lash extensions: synthetic, silk and mink. Size availability ranges from 6mm to 17mm. And there are different severities of curl including J curl to C curl.

Once selected, the lashes are applied one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not irritate the eye nor damage the natural lash. However, since allergic reactions are possible, there are different types of glue based on one’s sensitivity

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have a patch test to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.

Your lashes will be cleaned of any make up and oil products and dry in preparation for the application of the lashes.

To begin, you’ll lie down on your back and get comfortable. Your bottom lashes will be shielded with under-eye pads, stickers or tape. Prepare for your eyes to remain closed for the entire application, as your technician delicately affixes each extension with tweezers.

The technician shall be using tweezers to pick up the individual falsie, dip the end in glue and stick it to one of my real lashes. In between adding lashes, we will occasionally brush the eyelashes with a little bristle brush (just like on a mascara) to keep them neat and tidy.

The first session will result in a full set of beautiful new lashes to your own specified final look as discussed in your technician in the consultation.

London Body Centre recommends a top up after 2-3 weeks.

Eyelash extensions are individual strands of mink lashes expertly attached to each natural eyelash with a special medical grade adhesive. They are applied to the eyelash itself and are never in direct contact with your skin. London Body Centre specializes in “Natural” and “Glamour” looks with various lash extension set application options available described below. We only use the highest quality mink lashes available on the market today. They range in thickness, curl shape and durability. Make an appointment to come see us today!

While most studios offer eyelash extensions as an add-on and train their technicians accordingly, we have a team of stylists, with years’ experience in exclusively applying eyelash extensions.

We constantly invest in our technicians’ skills by training. You can be assured that each time you come to our studio, will leave absolutely loving your lashes or we will make it right*, guaranteed!

FAQ

  • Eyelash Extensions are semi – permanent synthetic, mink or silk fibers which are applied strand to strand of your natural lashes. This enhances your natural eye or can create the illusion of a different shaped eye such as a more lifted appearance, wider more open eyes or almond shaping for a sultry look. Envious Lashes can be applied for everyday wear or special events.

A full set application will depend on the volume being applied. A full set is between 1 -2 hours.

Eyelash Extension application should not hurt. Some may experience a bit of stinging from the adhesive however this is easily adjusted by making sure your eyes are completely closed or by switching to a sensitive formula.

Eyelash Extensions will be seamless and appear as if they are growing from your natural lash line. The effect is as though you are wearing great mascara without the need for actual mascara. Custom styling and shaping will be determined upon consultation.

We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks. If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Your natural eyelashes fall off every 45-60 days due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Other factors such as exposure to steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall out sooner. A touch up is needed to fill in any lashes that have fallen.

Less is more for the care of your lash extensions. Avoid tugging on them or rubbing your eyes. Certain products should be avoided such as anything containing oil as it will weaken the bond of the adhesive and cause your extensions to slip off. As previously discussed mascara is not recommended and if you absolutely must use mascara please follow the mentioned method here and avoid using waterproof or oil based mascara. Post care instructions are provided in detail for each client after the application.

  • We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes. The extensions do have a natural curl but if more of a curl is required we recommend using a heated eyelash curler.

  • We advise against the use of mascara as the purpose of the eyelash extensions is to give you the look of a flawless mascara without having to wear any. However if you require a little more pop for an evening out then NON-waterproof mascara may be used ONLY on the TIPS of your lashes. Waterproof mascara is difficult to remove and can, therefore, damage your extensions in removal. Also, it contains a chemical that may interact with the adhesive and cause it to dry out resulting in premature extensions loss. Applying even Non-water proof mascara to the base of your lashes will result in the same thing, as removal of the mascara, will cause you to rub your extensions and therefore causing the extensions to shed. Additionally applying mascara will add more weight to your natural lashes. We apply the maximum volume that your natural lashes can hold and by weighting them down with products may result in the breaking and shedding of your natural lashes causing weak areas and damage. Envious Lashes is in the process of developing a mascara that is eyelash extension safe.

You can absolutely wear makeup as long as any oil-based products are not going on or around your eyes. Eyeshadow fallout may lighten the appearance of your eyelashes so giving them a gentle brush will remove the fallout, avoiding mascara as previously discussed.

Eyelash extensions will only affect your eyeglasses if they are too long.

We ask that you keep your brand new eyelashes dry for the first 48 hours after application and each time after maintenance. Once the 48 hour curing period is over you may get them wet without affecting the application. Eyelash extensions are waterproof and are intended to replace mascara so you can swim and shower with them on.

The medical grade adhesive we use needs a 48 – hour curing period in order to ensure that your extensions stay attached. Getting your eyelashes wet before they are fully cured will lead to premature extension shedding as well as causing stinging to the eyes as the adhesive is not dry and may fume.

Your lash extensions are easily removed when done by a professional. A solvent is applied to your eyes which will break down the adhesive bond causing the extensions to slip easily off your natural lashes without causing any damage. DO NOT attempt to remove extensions on your own as you will damage your natural eyelashes. Baby oil does not work in the removal of eyelash extensions.

Your appointment will consist of a thorough consultation where everything from your eye shape, natural lashes and even the way you wear your makeup will be discussed. This information will then be used to determine a flattering, customized style for your eyes only.

Your eyelash extensions should not make your natural lashes fall out any faster than they would on their own. Like all hairs on the body, your lashes follow a growth cycle.

Avoid Water For The First 24 Hours. You want the glue to really set in so that your lashes last as long as possible.

Avoid Oil-Based Products. According to Hughes, oil breaks downs the glue that holds up the lashes.

Avoid Waterproof Eye Products.

Try Not To Curl.

Groom  Daily.

No. Your technician should be trained properly to apply the adhesive and lashes in a way that is completely harmless. Your eyes are closed the entire time of the procedure. No matter how bad an allergic reaction may get, you will never go blind. The worse case scenario is that you need to go to the eye doctor to get specific eye drops to treat an allergic reaction.

If you experience any burning or discomfort during the procedure, causing your eyes to tear or making you cry, this is a huge red flag and you should certainly speak up. You may need to have your technician change the glue. Getting lash extensions should be a completely pain-free experience.

Semi-Permanent Make-up Eyeliner

Semi-Permanent Make-up Eyeliner

Semi-permanent eyeliner is a must have treatment for anyone who wishes to define their eyes – we have a range of options from a discreet, barely there lash liner to a stronger evening look to suit every face.

Do you struggle to apply your eyeliner or find that it smudges and smears during the day? If you wear contact lenses, have allergies to makeup or would just like to wake up with a more defined eye then let us create the perfect look for you. We will work with you during your consultation to find the most flattering shape and colour for your treatment, you will be left with a beautiful, long lasting liner.

Our eyes are the focal point of our faces, and it’s right that we should want to highlight them with a beautifully applied outline. But, for many women, eyeliner application can be a tiresome ritual day in, day out. What started out as a lovingly applied, perfect enhancement will have started to slip by lunchtime, spoiling all our hard work for the rest of the day.

With permanent eyeliner, you can look your best from the moment you open your eyes. An inconspicuous, natural enhancement on your top and bottom lids will make your eyes pop and sparkle, or if you prefer a more made-up look, a thicker application can wave goodbye to wobbly lines for good.

What we offer at London Body Centre

In short, a lash-enhancement tattoo is a semi-permanent treatment that places pigment along your top or bottom lash lines (not your waterline). The tattoo itself can be super thick or as thin as your own natural lashes, and it doesn’t have a flick or extended tip. It’s just to fill in the lashes to create the illusion of thicker, darker, and completely fuller lashes without looking lined or like obvious makeup. In other words, whether you want a full-on flick, prefer a more diffused eyeshadow effect, or just want to enhance your lashes by filling in the gaps along your lash line an eyeliner tattoo might be the answer to your prayers.

How Does It Work?

Never battle with smudges or streaks ever again.

A Semi Permanent Eyeliner Treatment from Natural Enhancement accentuates your eyes, enhances their shape and gives volume to your lash-line, making lashes look thicker and fuller.

Our careful care and precision means that we are able to apply the treatment to your specifications.

We specialise in creating natural and discreet looks as well as successfully designing thicker and intense lines on the lower and upper eyelids.

Choose from the smokey effect, understated lash definer or cat’s eye.

Our expert team of experienced permanent makeup artists are highly-trained in applying the perfect permanent eyeliner that gives a lifted, youthful finish that is flattering on a range of eye shapes.

With semi-permanent make-up you eliminate the chore of having to apply, reapply and remove make-up everyday and it will always look professionally applied. Imagine the possibilities; wake up looking good, step out of the shower, the pool or gym confident that your eyebrows, eyeliner and lip line are perfectly in place.

You will have an in depth consultation. Here will be paperwork to be filled out. This will also include answering any questions and checking your medical history as well as talking through all the pre and post care.

Although it’s called permanent eyeliner, eyeliner tattoos are actually semi-permanent, which means if you want it to last forever, you’ll have to get it touched up as it fades. You can expect your semi-permanent eyeliner to hold out for a year or two, but in some cases, it could maybe even last up to five years.

Permanent or semi-permanent makeup otherwise known as micropigmentation is a process whereby hypoallergenic pigments (this means there are no fragrances or other ingredients added) are inserted into the dermal layer (lower layer) of the skin, usually using a needle. This makes it stay put all day, every day without smudging or wearing off. So, whether you are taking a dip in the pool or splashing about at the beach, there’s no need to worry about it exposing your au naturale look.

At London Body we shall have a consultation prior to proceeding with this treatment. We make sure that we have a clear understanding of the client’s wishes and manage all expectations.

After an initial session to discuss your expectations from micropigmentation, it’s on to treatment day. This is where you can do all the exciting stuff like pick your desired colours and contours (we suggest bringing your favourite lip liner or brow pencil as a guide). Once that is done, a cosmetic pen is applied to create a template for the procedure. No worries if you’re not totally happy first-time round, as he or she will continue to make adjustments until you’re fully satisfied. The procedure itself isn’t painful but anaesthetic creams are used beforehand and throughout treatment to keep you nice and comfortable. It might be a good idea to book some time off work as there is the chance of slight swelling or redness on the area. The treated area will also appear darker and more exact immediately after the treatment, but will lighten and soften over a few days.

But swelling isn’t the only common side effect of eyeliner tattoos. Bleeding and bruising or a burning or itching sensation around the injection site may also occur, please note that if any of these last longer than a few days, you should consult your physician. Other possible side effects include an allergic reaction to the dye (talk to your dermatologist about this possibility beforehand) or an infection in the area.

You can avoid an infection or discoloration if you follow the aftercare instructions. First of all avoid water and contacts entirely for the first 48 hours. If any crusties start forming, don’t pick, scratch, peel, or even think about touching them. Let your body do its own thing while it heals to prevent causing any discoloration or loss of pigment.

And to make your new semi-permanent lash liner last the longest it possibly can, we recommend keeping your hands away from your eyes (no rubbing), avoiding astringents, using gentle eye makeup remover, and wearing sunglasses to prevent the UV rays from breaking down the pigment.

Unlike their treatment alternatives such as microblading, the application of semi permanent makeup includes absolutely no cutting or scratching of the skin. Instead, using a handheld device equipped with an ultra-thin needle, the colour pigment is placed onto the top layer of the skin which will then sink around two millimetres into the dermis layer. The healing process of semi permanent makeup is considerably shorter than alternative treatments. While the treatment area is likely to experience slight redness, scabbing and will feel tender to the touch, the skin will not bleed or be exposed to trauma.

While applying a cold pack to the treatment area will not entirely prevent side effects, it will help to ease swelling and work effectively as a comfort measure. Always aim to use a refrigerator temperature cold pack and avoid those that must be placed in the freezer. Cooling the skin works effectively whereas freezing the treatment area may cause damage. Your treatment area would already be feeling somewhat delicate which means that applying freezing temperatures to the skin risks complications due to frost damage.

We suggest purchasing HypaCool instant cold packs as they can quickly be activated when squeezed. There is no need for them to be placed in the freezer and they will achieve the perfect cooling temperature instantly. HypaCool packs are single use, which means that you will not risk spreading bacteria to the treatment area.

If you take only one piece of advice, then it should be never to pick, peel or scratch the treatment area. Scabbing and itching are normal; it shows that your body is naturally healing itself, so allow your skin to work its magic. While it may not look appealing, leave the skin to shed at its own accord.

Disturbing the healing process through picking scabs, itching or peeling dead skin will not only create an uneven pigment but also dramatically increase the risk of infection. If you allow the skin to heal naturally, then you will experience no scarring.

It is strongly recommended to keep the treated area shaded from sun exposure until the healing process is complete; this includes both natural sunlight and the use of sunbeds. As mentioned previously, the treatment area will already be tender and delicate, so exposure to the sun will only intensify this and increase the likelihood of complications.

If you have opted for semi permanent eyebrows or eyeliner, wearing large sunglasses when in direct sunlight will provide adequate protection. Lips are somewhat harder to protect; an oversized brimmed hat may be able to shade the face. Avoid the use of sunbeds altogether.

While it may prove somewhat tricky and sound a little gross, try to keep the area as dry as possible during the healing process. When showering or bathing, do not splash your face with water or use your standard face wash. Instead, apply a small amount of a gentle face cleanser to a cotton pad and clean your face. Avoid any cleansers that include alcohol, acids or strong chemicals as it risks burning the treatment area. Simple Skincare has a wide range of ‘kind to skin’ face cleansers, ideal to use during the healing process.

If you do accidentally get the treatment area wet, not to worry, simply pat the area dry very gently using a clean tissue or cotton pad.

To maximise your results, aim to avoid any form of heavy exercise for five to ten days after your treatment; this differs depending on the individual and the speed of their healing process. Light exercise such as walking is permitted as long as you do not sweat. Sweat is filled with salt which will begin to fade the pigment in the semi permanent makeup. Salt is an ingredient that is used to remove cosmetic tattoos, so allow the skin to heal before you start working out again.

During the healing process, do not apply any cosmetic products to the treatment area; this includes both makeup and skincare. Applying makeup, moisturisers, serums or any form of product to the skin risks a reaction against the pigment, ultimately, causing a nasty infection.

Every individual heals at a different rate which means that there is not an exact number of days before clients can begin wearing makeup and using skincare products again. We usually recommend allowing a seven to ten-day period to allow the skin to heal naturally. Do not attempt to apply any products in or around the treatment area if there is still swelling, tenderness or scabbing. Always wait until the skin is back to normal.

If you are happy to avoid hot showers and baths altogether during the healing process, then that would be ideal, but if not, limit the duration as much as possible. When spending a long period of time in a hot bath or shower, the steam will start to affect the treatment area. As mentioned previously, you must keep the skin as dry as possible. Steam will cause excess moisture to build-up on the surface and also cause sweating; both of which prolong the healing process and increase the risk of infection.

FAQ

Generally heal within three to seven days, but a thicker eyeliner application may take seven to 10 days. You should definitely avoid touching or rubbing your eyes while they heal, so you don’t spread any germs or bacteria around the area.

While semi-permanent eyeliner is popular, the latest trend is to have tiny micro-droplets of pigment nestled in between each lash to give the appearance of thick, fluttery lashes. It creates undetectable definitions for your eyes.

Wives’ tale is that because semi-permanent makeup is a tattoo it is always very painful. If you surf the net you’ll find stories from people who have had semi-permanent makeup applied and found it painful to varying degrees

  1. As with other types of tattoos, a variety of adverse effects have been observed with permanent makeup, such as fanning, fading, and scarring, granulomatous inflammatory reactions, allergic contact dermatitis, phototoxicity, hypomelanosis and infections

Swelling typically occurs in the first 24-48 hours after permanent eyeliner application, so this is the most crucial time to use ice packs on your eyes.  You should never use an ice pack in one area for more than 10 minutes at a time.

If I have my eyelids tattooed, do I run the risk of permanently losing my eyelashes? You can only lose your eyelashes permanently when the follicle of the eyelash is destroyed. This does not happen in permanent cosmetics therefore you cannot permanently lose your lashes following an eyeliner procedure.

Most clients are capable of driving after eyeliner procedure, and in most cases you will look like you’ve been crying. The thicker the permanent makeup is the more swelling darkness you will be. The first 72 hours is the at the peak of reaction for eyebrows, and 24 hours for

This is due to oxidation of the pigment and the redness of the skin. After three to four days, the colour will become lighter as the epidermis sloughs off and the skin heals over the pigment. During this time the colour will seem to disappear as the skin is opaque during this healing time.

No makeup is to be applied for 72 hours (three days) after the procedure on the tattoo area. After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara for the first 10 days after the 3 days of no makeup. Do not use an eyelash curler for two weeks.

Semi-permanent make-up is a revolutionary method of applying micro-insertions of the natural pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. This state-of-the-art technique is medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe. Intra-dermal pigmentation is used for a variety of permanent cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner, full lip and for alopecia patients. Tenderness, dryness and itching, swelling, redness and flaking are all normal defensive reactions of the body.

Following your appointment, it is likely that your makeup will look bold, dark, and prominent – perhaps not quite as you expected them to be. In most cases, the skin under the pigment will be slightly red, causing the area to look darker.

Within the first 7-14 days, the pigment will fade by as much as 30-60 per cent, depending on an individual’s dermis, skin condition, age and UV exposure.

During exfoliation, treated area start to itch and their texture will be much thicker. It is important not to remove any of the scabs or scratch the treated area. Usually, the skin starts to scab from the outside edges.

As swelling and redness subsides, towards the end of the flaking process, the darkness and thickness of the eyebrows will reduce. This will result in a softer, natural look.

Full colour deposition will be achieved in around four to eight weeks. This is the ideal time to schedule your touch-up appointment, to saturate more pigment and make any minor adjustments.

After eyes procedure eyelids appear red and puffy, this usually comes down on the same day, although it may take longer on some clients to heal and symptoms may appear more prominent.

Do you need touch-ups? Depending on the treatment and lifestyle factors, lip tattooing can last anywhere from 1-3 years. The pigment will fade naturally and lighten over this time.  We do however recommend a colour boost procedure every 6-12 months.

A lip tattoo can be trickier and more painful than tattoos on other parts of your body. But when done by a reputable artist and allowed to heal properly, a lip tattoo can be an effective artistic expression.

Inner-lip tattoos are most susceptible because of moisture and bacteria inside the mouth. Scarring. When a lip tattoo does not heal properly, it may scar. Allergic reactions and infections post-tattooing can also increase your risk for developing scar tissue at the site.

What is lip blushing? Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lips’ natural tint and shape, giving them a boost and a glossy touch. It’s designed to define and outline your lips, not to actually make them fuller.

No smoking while lips are healing (10 days minimum). No kissing, rubbing or friction on your newly tattooed lips until after 10 days or you may lose pigment. Lips may be dry for 3 to 6 months depending on the body reaction.

You must also follow your aftercare instructions, including using a mouth rinse. Since the lips come into contact with saliva, food, and drinks, this can also increase your risk for infections.

Tattoos in the inner lip are the hardest to care for because of the excessive moisture and their tendency to fade. Forty percent of inner lip tattoos completely fade because of improper care, some even within the first few days. … This will keep your lip from rubbing against your teeth and help the tattoo stay drier.

This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed. Filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and give the illusion of fuller lips. The treatment can be a corrective service to help even out the tone of the lips, but it can also help with asymmetry.

Be careful with food and drinks. Anything you eat and drink after getting your lip tattoo has the potential to irritate it. Especially in the beginning, avoid anything acidic as it can begin to break down the tattoo ink, causing fading.

The process can be uncomfortable for some, as your lips are a sensitive area, but once it’s over, your lips shouldn’t be sore. You might have the sensation that you just did an aggressive lip scrub, but it will quickly fade.

A quick way to identify your skin tone is by looking at your veins. If you have blue veins, typically you have a pink undertone. If your veins are green, you have a warmer, yellow undertone. If you are between blue and green your skin tone is neutral, and you have the flexibility of choosing almost any lip color.

6 Things to Consider Before Getting Inked

Human mouths are a haven for bacteria. …

You’ll need to make diet and lifestyle changes for proper healing. …

You should avoid getting touch-ups. …

Scar tissue from lip tattoos can make detecting oral cancer difficult. …

Lips are highly sensitive, making lip tattoos very painful.

If your lips are kept clean and moisturised then only a thin film (not a scab) will appear. Lip tattoos are not as deep as a ‘normal’ tattoo – your new healing skin is covering the pigment and when your skin and the pigment start to settle (between weeks 2-4), you’ll notice that your lip tattoo starts coming back.

Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation has quickly become one of the most effective answers to hair loss and thinning hair.

Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The outcome creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair.

The Scalp Micropigmentation treatment can restore receded hairlines, thicken remaining hair, camouflage transplant scarring, and create the look of close-cropped hair. Scalp Micropigmentation is also effective for those suffering from minor hair thinning or recession.

By precisely repeating your own natural hair follicles and hair color, scalp micropigmentation can help strengthen and add density to thinning areas, creating an unnoticeable illusion of thicker, stronger hair. One of the greatest things about the innovative scalp micropigmentation treatment is that it requires little to no continued maintenance and carries no strict lifestyle or daily restrictions. Our clients call it “freedom”.

CROWN BALDING

Crown balding is one of the most common types of degenerative hair thinning and balding, usually making sufferers look older than their years and affecting self-confidence. Our treatment will rejuvenate the look of the crown, giving a completely realistic hairline and the ease of top-up treatment makes it ideal for the slowly developing crown thinning and balding process.

HAIRLINE RECEDING

Balding men are in general agreement that baldness is a nuisance but they rarely agree on which is worse; crown balding pattern or receding. With Scalp Micropigmentation you don’t need to debate this any further; Scalp Micropigmentation will camouflage wherever your area of concern is, leaving you with a cropped, strong and attractive hairline.

ALOPECIA

Many alopecia sufferers come to us to restore their hairline look. Alopecia can vary hugely in severity from one person to the next and the flexible targeted process of Scalp Micropigmentation allows us to help restore self-esteem in many alopecia sufferers.

FOR WOMEN

Almost 5% of women suffer from hair loss/thinning conditions; we can carry out exactly the same treatment for women who then have the choice of short or longer hair, because even on long hair, the micro pigmented areas will be much less noticeable than the bare scalp previously was.

DIFFUSED HAIR LOSS

Diffuse hair loss can affect both sexes at any age and can be caused by anything that interrupts the normal hair cycle, including emotional stress, nutritional deficiencies, and endocrine imbalances. It can be a stressful event for any man or woman, and Scalp Micropigmentation is an incredibly effective solution, restoring confidence and looks.

SKIN TYPE & COLOR

Scalp Micropigmentation is suited to all skin types and colours, White, Afro-Caribbean, Latino, Asian and mixed-race. We will match your follicle colour to provide a seamless, invisible blended match with any existing hair.

REVISION & REVERSAL

As we age, we will tend to change our opinion on the best look for our hair and hairline. Laser revision can be used for a completely new look, shape and colour, or to tweak to suit new fashions and trends.

Changes can include: changing the hairline position, raising the hairline to create an older, more receded look, changing side hair shape, addition of sideburns and changing the hairline shape. Although we have not had any requests for it, you can be reassured that complete reversal is an option should you want it.

All of these revisions are done using a laser application. Our pigment goes far less deep than skin tattooing so the laser removal is a much more straightforward and painless procedure, usually requiring only 1-2 sessions.Micro Pigmentation is often the ideal solution for clients who have suffered complete hair-loss. We are proud to be part of the solution which we have seen restore self-esteem in all ages of clients. We love that we sometimes hear Scalp Micropigmentation referred to as “sudden hairline gain”!

FAQ

The human head has an astounding 2000 follicles per square inch. Not shocking then that it typically takes a minimum of three sittings to realise the final anticipated look on a mainly bald head. As part of our meticulous, results-focused method, we apply a lighter pigment during treatment number 1. Session 2 sees us adjust to obtain a flawless match (sometimes using even 3-4 pigment shades to get the perfect result) whilst adding density and the crucial blend into the natural hairline. In subsequent sessions we focus on completing the appearance and adding detail.

For repetitive treatments, we offer 3 sessions as a typical bundle and this is the number of sessions included in your quote. The first session will last 2 to 5 hours depending on the extent of your hair loss and thickness you want.

The second sitting will take place 7 to 10 days after your first session and will also last around 2 to 5 hours. This is where we take your feedback and add more density to your look. We can also make additional variations at this point if essential. The consultant will converse this with you.

The third sitting will be around 4 weeks after the second session. This gives your scalp time to recuperate and for the treatment to settle. Short breaks can be taken through the treatment session and your consultant will ask if you require breaks during your treatment, otherwise if you need a break just let the consultant know. Final touch ups will be done at this sitting.

Our clients tell us that even close up in the mirror, they themselves can’t differentiate where their real hairline ends and the pigmentation blending initiates.

Yes there is a 12 month Guarantee from your first session, just in case any areas of the treatment is not perfect, simply give us a call and we will book you in for one extra session at no extra charge, any style or colour changes are chargeable at an hourly rate.

The procedure is not very painful at all, there is more of an annoyance and some tenderness. On a scale of 1-10 it is around 4.

Hair Extensions

Hair Extensions

When you feel like a change of hairstyle, but you can’t wait for your hair to grow, then hair extensions are an easy way to instantly add length and volume to your hair. These days, hair extensions are being used by everyone, not just celebrities; they are easy to use, affordable, and trust us, you really can’t see the join! In fact, that girl with the beautiful, long, flowing locks that you were admiring yesterday could well have been using hair extensions.

Hair extensions are also known as hair integrations. They are used to add to the length and volume of one’s hair. They can be made of natural or synthetic hair. Virgin natural hair extensions are the best quality (and the most expensive, of course) as the cuticle of the natural hair is preserved and all the hair runs in one direction, giving it the most natural look. If you are tight on your budget, synthetic hair extensions are a cheaper option. Though they are not great for heat styling and tangle quite easily, synthetic extensions are good for anyone who wants a temporary change in style. They also do not require as much maintenance on your part as natural hair extensions do.

You want a confidence boost? Longer, fuller, shinier locks are a sign of youth. As we age, our hair thins (though some are more genetically prone to this than others). Similar to a great blowout or a killer pair of shoes, hair extensions can give you a little pep in your step.

You want to change up your look? Bored with your strands? Extensions allow you to experiment with colour without bleaching your hair.

You want to grow out a bob? If you have a short cut that you’re desperate to grow out, extensions will instantly add length and ease your frustration.

Please ensure to thoroughly wash and cleanse your hair before coming for your fitting, it is advisable to use a clarifying shampoo to completely remove any styling products or residue remaining in your hair.

Try to come with your hair free from any styling products and straightened, this makes it clearer to see when applying the bonds.

To have hair extensions, your hair should be a minimum of 3-4 inches in length, just about long enough to put into a ponytail. Ideally, the longer your hair, the easier to integrate. However, shorter lengths can be done. All I really need is enough hair to be able to hold onto to add hair to, an inch and a half, but it will be harder to blend and grow out quicker. If your hair is too short, then going any longer than 16 inches may not be advisable. Email us a picture of your hair or come in for a consultation if you are unsure about anything regarding length.

We will need to arrange a consultation with you so we can colour match it perfectly, ensure to get a reasonable amount of hair ideally from the ends so I can get a more precise match to the overall colour of your hair.

We offer a full service and all our hair extensions prices include cutting and styling.

Instantly long and luscious locks.

FAQ

Hair extensions will not damage your hair. However, hair with hair extensions requires more care than usual. We recommend daily care, along with a little extra care on a weekly basis. We also recommend that you thoroughly inspect your attachments every five to seven weeks, both in order to enable you to enjoy your long hair as long as possible, but also to avoid tangled attachments and unnecessary wear on both the extensions and your natural hair. We recommend products that contain a large amount of moisture and nutrition, which hair extensions are particularly in need of, and especially if you live in a dry climate.   It is also important that you attach and remove your hair extensions properly. By following our instructions and using the recommended attachment and removal products, you minimize the risk of unnecessary wear on your hair.

To make sure your natural hair and your extensions maintain their qualities it is important to add both nutrition and moisture. Because hair extensions do not have their own follicles and always lie slightly away from the scalp, they do not share the same natural oils as your natural hair. This makes them even more dependent on added moisture and oils to keep from getting dry and coarse.

Using a hair mask 1-2 times a week is also a great way to give your hair that extra moisture boost. The hair mask, however, does not replace the effect of your conditioner, so always end with a conditioner.

Choosing a colour for your hair extensions can seem like a challenge. You may be unsure what colour your natural hair really is, or you might be wondering what colour suits you best. At London Body Centre we’ve tried to make the choice as easy as possible for you. We offer a large selection of different colours, lengths and qualities. It features all of our colours, labelled and easy to remove to compare to your hair. Depending on your natural shade, sometimes you may need a few different colours and shades to get as natural a result as possible. This is also an option if you want to achieve colour effects like highlights.

Choosing the right method might sometimes seem difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. Before you attach your hair extensions, however, it may be a good idea to think about what your everyday life looks like and what the purpose of your hair extensions is. At London Body Centre we offer a number of methods, so you can choose the one that suits you best in your everyday life.

Do you want a going-out look, something different for a few weeks’ time, or maybe something permanent? Do you exercise a lot, do you wear scarves or hats? Depending on the look of your natural hair, we also recommend different methods and hair qualities. Do you have thin hair, fine hair, coarse hair, thick hair? Yes, the list can be long, but keep in mind that the most important thing is not to answer all the questions, the important thing is that you feel comfortable with your hair extensions, and by considering the choice of method and quality, you can find the right method for you.

Hair can come from all over the world. We particularly buy Indian, European, and Brazilian hair. I find these hair types to be the strongest and most durable for the use of long lasting healthy human extensions.

Tape- In

If you’re looking for hair extensions that can easily be put on in a couple of hours, tape-in extensions are what you need. These extensions come in wefts that could be anywhere between 1.5 and 8 inches long. Each weft comes with either double or single-sided polyurethane tape tabs cut to fit its size. Your hair is essentially sandwiched and stuck between these extensions.

How Long Does It Take To Attach?

60-90 mins

How Long Does It Stay In?

4-6 Weeks

Pros

With an application time of less than 90 minutes, this is the fastest method of applying hair extensions

Easy to apply as no heat or other tools are required

Minimal damage to hair as there’s no application of heat required

Reduces the strain on your head as the extensions are spread over a large area of your head

Lend a natural look to your tresses as they lay flat against your head

The extensions can be reused for 6-8 weeks after being removed with solvent and reapplied with the help of more double-sided tape

Cons

The adhesive on the tape needs to cure for 24-48 hours, so you cannot wash your hair or undertake any strenuous activities that can cause you to sweat

You cannot apply any silicone based product or oil to your hair as they may cause the extensions to slip down

Not recommended for swimmers for aforementioned reason

Hair cannot be comfortably tied up when these extensions are in.

Micro Ring Hair Extensions

Micro ring hair extensions come in the form of small bundles of hair that are looped through small sections of your natural hair. The extension is then secured by a metal bead clamped around it with the help of a pair of pliers. A more convenient version of these extensions are the micro loop extensions that come attached with a loop and bead beforehand. Hence, they do not require a loop tool for attachment.

How Long Does It Take To Attach?

4-5 hours

How Long Does It Stay In?

2-3 Months

Pros

Do not require heat or glue for attachment, hence reducing damage to hair

The extensions can be uncrimped and reused

You can slide the extensions up and down to adjust them the way you want

Blends seamlessly with your natural hair

Easy to wash

Cons

Not recommended for people with short or fine hair

Can cause discomfort and strain on your scalp

The clamping down of the extensions with the pliers can cause your natural hair to break

If not removed properly by a professional, it can damage your hair

Not possible to tie high ponytails

Hot Fusion Hair Extensions

Now, hot fusion is a method that is pretty involved and requires a well-trained professional. The procedure itself starts off with a keratin U-tip bond that is lined with silicone to be attached to the extension. The extension is then bonded to the root of your hair with the help of a heating tool. The silicone lining basically protects your hair from heat damage.

How Long Does It Take To Attach?

6-8 hours

How Long Does It Stay In?

4-6 Months

Pros

The most durable method because, with proper maintenance, the extensions can stay in for about 6 months

Since the keratin dries clear, you can’t really see where the extensions have been attached

Blends perfectly with your natural hair

Cons

With an application time of 6-8 hours, this process is tiresome

The heat application required for attachment can damage your hair

Not reusable

You may experience headache, discomfort, or itching for a few days after application

You need to find highly-trained professionals to get this done because if it is not done properly, you could cause serious damage to your hair

The best way to choose which type is most suitable for you will depend on your hair texture, natural curl pattern, and how you will most typically be styling it on a daily basis.

Indian Hair:

This hair is very durable and strong genetically. Most Indian Hair has not been damaged by colour, highlighting, and heat styling. Most Indian hair has a soft wave pattern while air drying, so it holds curl with a curling iron nicely, but will also flat iron or be blown out with relative ease. This hair is versatile for almost any hair type. Virgin Indian hair is naturally dark, but also lightens to lighter shades easily and healthy.

European Hair:

This hair has the tendency to be naturally straighter. European hair is shiny and finer in texture and would best be worn by similar hair textures that prefer more straight styling with a blow out or flat iron. This hair would not be suitable for use on ethnic or very curly hair textures.

Brazilian Hair:

This hair is of medium texture and can be found in straight to very curly in wave patterns. This also makes this type very versatile, because a Caucasian blonde would be able to wear it with ease who normally uses a flat iron, as well as a coarser or ethnic texture who prefers curls and will be able to blend it with ease. Brazilian hair naturally dark is healthy and shiny, but also colours into lighter shades effectively.

Installation will vary depending on the best-chosen method for you. a typical description is the following:

Seamless Tape:

This method is the fastest, about one hour to install. These will require a maintenance appointment every 6-8 week depending on how fast your natural hair grows out. During a maintenance session, the extensions are removed which can take up to an hour, new adhesive is placed on the extension, then it is reinstalled up closer to the scalp. The hair can be reused on average 6 months. Keratin tipped extensions Hot Fusion Keratin bonds:

This method can be installed on average between 3-4 hours. It is a piece by piece method where about 50 strands of hair that is tipped with keratin is melted and hardened to your own hair of about the same amount of strands so that the weight is evenly distributed to not cause tension on your own hair. The strands can be custom sized to accommodate whether you have fine, medium, or thick hair. This hair will need to be maintenanced in 6 months and can be reused a second time around. The hair is removed with a removal solution, a standard removal is about 3 hours, then the extensions are tipped with new keratin and reinstalled the initial way. micro loop extensions Micro-link, Micro-loop, or any similar tube connector

(also called i-tipped cold bonds):

This method the extension is applied to your hair with a small round cylinder that clamps the extension to your own hair. It is also the same size as hot fusion pieces and the same concept. This method needs maintenance every 6-8 weeks, where the old cylinder is removed, a new one goes in its place and the extension is moved back up by the scalp. Average install time is about 3 hours as well as the maintenance appointments. With proper products and care this hair will also be able to be reused up to a year.

Brazilian String Extensions Brazilian string:

This method is the longest to install but comes with many benefits. There is only a pliable string used to attach the extension to your own hair. It has very long-lasting power for staying in, with no chemicals needed to be attached to your hair. The maintenance is every 3-4 months, removal is about an hour, the string gets snipped with a scissor, the extension slides out easily, then they are reinstalled the original way. This hair will also be able to be reused a year with proper products and care.

You will be able to wash, use products, curl, flatiron, and blow dry your extensions just like your own hair. I do not recommend colouring them yourself, as a strand test should always be done first by a professional to create the proper formula needed for your desired result. The extensions do not have the exact chemical makeup of your own hair, will react differently to colour, and could result in discoloration could occur if not properly chemically diagnosed.

As long as the proper install method is used according to your hair type and they are placed properly, they will not be visible to others. You should not be able to know that the extension is not your own hair. To some degree you will be able to feel something when you touch your scalp, but it is not painful to have in or will be visible to others. After wearing them for some time, they become a part of you and your daily routine and you won’t notice them anymore.

With hair extensions, you really do get what you pay for. If you just want to try out a new style or wear extensions for a special occasion, then, synthetic hair will be the best and cheapest option. If you want to leave your extensions in for a long time and be able to treat them just as though they were your own hair, then you will need to pay the extra for real human hair extensions.

Keep them completely dry. You might probably be one of those people who love to shower at night before going to bed. …

Free from any tangles. Brush your hair to free it from any tangles and knots as well as to remove product buildup during the day. …

Braid your hair. …

Turned under the ponytail. …

Use a silk pillow cover.

To stop your hair extensions from tangling at the root you should follow the aftercare advice provided by your technician, and stick to the following rules:

Never sleep with the extensions wet or damp.

Do not massage the scalp during washing, slowly stroke the shampoo into the hair.

Wear hair in a plait when sleeping.

It’s OK to go swimming, of course, but don’t allow extensions to soak in water for too long and dry them as soon as you get out of the pool or ocean. We recommend rough-drying the bonded areas every time they get wet to help extensions last longer. You can let the rest of the hair air-dry.

You can use a flat iron to straighten your hair extensions, but you should use it at the lowest possible temperature. You should spray on a heat protection product before using your iron. … While your own natural hair will have a certain amount of moisture, your hair extensions will not.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. It cannot make a complete colour change, but it lightens the existing shade. The outer layers of the teeth are oxidised without damaging the teeth, making for a very efficient and effective solution for restoring a radiant smile.

Detailed information coming soon! The treatment is available!

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a gentle but effective exfoliation treatment, where a blade is moved over the skin to remove fuzzy peach hair and dead skin cells. The results are a beautifully smooth face that glows!

It’s a treatment the celebrities have been having before any big red-carpet event and makeup artists love it. Dermaplaning has been popular in America for years and only recently taken off in the UK.

Everyone’s main concern is that you will end up with thick, dark facial hair that matches your man’s! The truth is the answer is NO! The treatment does not make you a hairy beast. The hair on the face is a type of hair called vellus hair also known as peach hair. Vellus hair never changes, it grows back slowly and the same as it was previous to the treatment. Although I must warn you this treatment is addictive and you soon get used to having the smoothest face you have ever felt. Your makeup goes onto the skin better and has a flawless appearance to it. Even when you take your makeup off your skin is glowing.

Wondering if you should try dermaplaning versus microdermabrasion? They are both forms of physical exfoliation, but the methods are very different. Microdermabrasion sands and suctions dead skin cells, which also helps to uproot clogged pores around the nose, mouth and chin. Dermaplaning safely scrapes off the top layer of skin, so it is well suited for drier skin types and anyone who wants to get rid of peach fuzz. But, keep in mind, both methods are good for almost everyone and it could just boil down to your personal preference.

Dermaplaning is a painless procedure and can be compared to the sensation of shaving your legs, but in this case, it’s on your face.

First, the aesthetician will cleanse and thoroughly dry your skin. Next, she’ll pull an area of your skin taut with one hand and hold a sterile 10 gauge blade at a 45 degree angle in the other hand and use short, swift strokes to scrape off dead skin cells and peach fuzz.

Dermaplaning, which we could also just call, “shaving your face,” because this treatment involves gently pulling a blade along your skin. But! Dermaplaning, unlike traditional shaving, uses a smaller blade to slough off dead skin cells in addition to removing wispy facial hair, so skin is more even in tone and texture. It’s superficial (there will not be blood) and strangely reminiscent of a cat lick (tickly, sandpapery). It makes makeup go on smoother, too.

Your technician will have a consultation with you, pre-treatment to ensure correct paperwork has been completed and all questions answered.

Even though you’re not piercing the skin, it’s important to make sure your face is clean, so you don’t introduce germs to freshly exfoliated skin.

The technician will Hold the skin taut with a finger from one hand. With the other, hold the blade at a 45-degree angle to your skin. Make short, feathery strokes from your hairline toward the centre of your face, avoiding your brows, eyes, nose, and mouth.

Dermaplaning removes 21 days worth of dead skin cells, so it’s best to allow the skin to complete its rejuvenation cycle before your next treatment.

THERE ARE PRACTICALLY NO DOWNSIDES TO A DERMAPLANE TREATMENT.

Dermaplaning carries little to no risk! Unlike other treatments, such as chemical peels, there is no downtime. No need to avoid the sun, wait to put on makeup, or worry about when to schedule your dermaplaning before a big event. You can have a dermaplane facial over lunch and coworkers will notice nothing but a glowing, fabulous complexion! Dermaplaning is also safe for pregnant women and nursing mothers, as it does not use chemicals that can be absorbed into the bloodstream and transferred to a growing baby. The only minor risk with dermaplaning is the occasional nick—just like with normal shaving. The key to avoiding this is to visit an experienced aesthetician or skin care specialist.

THE BENEFITS OF DERMAPLANE ARE NUMEROUS!

Since the removal of dead skin encourages skin-cell turnover and new growth, dermaplaning can even out skin tone on the face. Fine vellus hairs can trap dirt, oil, and other foreign particles, so their removal encourages cleaner skin. And don’t believe the myths—these hairs do not grow back any darker or thicker!

Dermaplaning leaves a radiant complexion that more easily absorbs moisturizers and creates a smoother “canvas” for applying cosmetics. In fact, some makeup artists recommend dermaplaning because the removal of dead skin cells helps in the application of makeup!

London Body Centre offers dermaplaning, along with a variety of other skin care treatments. Take the first step toward achieving your ideal complexion—contact our office to find out if dermaplaning is the right option for your unique needs.

About 30 minutes

There are no side effects and zero downtime. After the treatment, your skin will be highly sensitive to sun exposure and may already look very pink, so be sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.

You’ll immediately look more radiant with a more even skin tone and texture. All of your peach fuzz will be gone, which is why first-timers say their skin has never felt so soft before.

Dermaplaning removes 21 days worth of dead skin cells, so it’s best to allow the skin to complete its rejuvenation cycle before your next treatment.

Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types except those with acneic skin. If you have deep cystic acne, wait until breakouts are clear before trying this treatment.  As always discuss any allergies or skin sensitivities, before starting a treatment.  This is a great treatment if you are pregnant or nursing and want exfoliation without the risk of harsh chemicals absorbing into the bloodstream and potentially harming your baby.

Dermaplaning is a quick, effective procedure that normally takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete.  It is recommended that patients space treatments approximately two to four weeks apart for the best results.  No, there is absolutely no recovery or down time with this treatment.

It needs to be done by a professional, so please do not take a scalpel to your own face in your bathroom mirror.  It takes only 30 to 45 minutes and doesn’t hurt at all.  It is basically shaving off the dead cells of your skin, instead of your hair and will leave you positively glowing.  The main difference from shaving is that dermaplaning is done with a single blade and a dermatologist or aesthetician will use small upward strokes to remove the dead layer of skin with the blade.  Although it sounds scary, the process is safe and can be done every three to four weeks.

You will immediately look more radiant with a more even skin tone and texture.  All of your peach fuzz will be gone, which is why first-timers say their skin has never felt so soft before.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is one of those cosmetic procedures that most people have heard of, but don’t really know much about. Even if your skin-obsessed friend swears by it, or you’ve seen it listed on spa menus, the procedure is still one of those best discussed with a dermatologist. It is a procedure that exfoliates and removes the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells. Microdermabrasion machines can buff and polish the skin using a stream of fine crystals or a diamond tip. Some systems have suction to vacuum loose skin cells from the face.

What we offer at London Body Centre

If you are suffering from blackhead, or comedones, acne, coarse pore, rough skin, dark skin, dead skin, fine lines, with several different probes we can solve all above problems and shape V-face, repair acne scar and pits caused by pimples.

A strong suction is adopted by the advanced diamond microdermabrasion therapy and vacuum absorption technique that ensure strong enough suction and easy access to deep in the pores to clean your facial skin thoroughly.

To ensure the treatment is not harmful to the skin the power-modes are designed to be adjustable according to different needs to suck targeted pore dirt without damage to the skin. Unique Blu-ray Technology helps repair damaged skin tissue and shrink pores.

Safe and effective solution Reduce and prevent fine lines, improve skin elasticity; Stimulate the production of collagen and skin tightening; Inhibit the formation of melanin pigment; Kill bacteria, virus, stimulate circulation, eliminate acne, pimples.

Microdermabrasion sloughs off the dead and dull surface layers of the skin, stimulating an increase in collagen production and rejuvenation. Many patients see dramatic improvements in the tone, texture, and color of treated areas after just one treatment. Microdermabrasion can also improve: Oily or dull skin.

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have a patch test to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.

Your face shall be prepared for the treatment with a steam Facial followed with an exfoliation technique than your skin shall be ready for the microdermabrasion treatment to take place.

The microdermabrasion procedure exfoliates dead cells from the skin’s surface. While it is not painful, the treatment can cause a slight warming sensation as the abrasive microdermabrasion crystals gently slough away old and damaged layers of skin. Some patients have likened the experience to having a facial massage.

Most patients require more than one microdermabrasion treatment session to achieve the most beneficial results. Sessions are generally performed one to two weeks apart, and about five to twelve treatments are typically necessary.

Patients with fine facial lines or wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, clogged pores, skin texture problems, or minor scars are good candidates for microdermabrasion. Patients with rosacea or acne may also benefit from microdermabrasion treatments. The gentle spray of microcrystals can eliminate or improve skin imperfections and conditions by removing the upper layer of dead and damaged skin cells to reveal new, fresh skin.

Ideal Candidates?

The ideal candidates for microdermabrasion are healthy adults who have relatively minor skin conditions or imperfections and realistic expectations about what microdermabrasion can and cannot do. Because microdermabrasion is a mild, non-invasive procedure that cannot remedy sagging skin or correct deep facial creases or folds, such issues must be addressed with procedures such as face lift, laser skin tightening.

Microdermabrasion for Acne

Microdermabrasion can be used to treat acne and the scars that acne causes. Microdermabrasion treatments can eliminate or greatly reduce the appearance of lighter scarring. However, for deep acne scars (known as “pock marks” or “ice-pick acne scars”) microdermabrasion may not be able to provide desired results. Deeper scars can usually be effectively treated with dermabrasion or an acne chemical peel. Patients with active acne may also benefit from microdermabrasion treatments, which exfoliate the skin and clear clogged pores of oil and dirt. Because the polishing action of the crystal and the removal of skin cells can aggravate acne, however, a consultation with a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon is advised to help determine whether a patient’s acne or acne scars can be effectively treated with microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion for Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic inflammation of facial skin characterized by redness, prominent blood vessels, swelling, and/or skin eruptions that look similar to acne. Microdermabrasion can be used to decrease the redness associated with rosacea. However, if you have been diagnosed with rosacea and are considering microdermabrasion, you should consult a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon prior to treatment because microdermabrasion can negatively affect active rosacea.

Who Is Not a Good Candidate?

Microdermabrasion is not recommended for people who have deep scars, active keloids, undiagnosed lesions, a recent herpes outbreak, warts on the face, active acne (stages 3 and 4), an auto-immune system disorder, or unstable diabetes. Pregnant women should not undergo microdermabrasion. Candidates who have had a recent chemical peel or other skin procedure such as collagen injections should wait two to three weeks before undergoing microdermabrasion. Prospective patients should also refrain from waxing or tanning the skin to be treated for a few weeks before microdermabrasion treatment. Individuals with deep scars, facial creases, or other moderate-to-severe skin defects should consider a stronger treatment such as a chemical peel, dermabrasion, or laser skin resurfacing.

FAQ

Yes. As with all treatments that penetrate the skin or disrupt the skin’s surface, the safest procedure will be carried out by a professional. In fact, many people choose microdermabrasion over chemical peels and laser treatment because it is generally safer and more cost-effective.

The procedure may be a little uncomfortable but shouldn’t hurt. However, your skin will be slightly tender afterwards and a bit red.

Depending on how many treatments you have, you’ll notice a change in the clarity, elasticity and texture of your skin. Most dermatologists recommend around every four weeks. And the best results are usually seen by people in the early stages of ageing, between 35 and 50.

People with uneven pigmentation, fine lines and clogged pores can benefit from a series of microdermabrasion treatments.

Microdermabrasion stimulates blood flow, which increases the nutrition delivered to skin cells. This improves cell production, which improves skin’s elasticity and texture. So, if you have acne scarring, microdermabrasion may help reduce the appearance of acne scars. However, it’s not recommended if you have skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, active sunburn, herpes, lupus, open sores, psoriasis, fragile capillaries or widespread acne. This can irritate the skin and cause further breakouts.

Oxygen Facial

Oxygen Facial

As we age, the oxygen levels in our skin naturally deplete, leaving it with less elasticity and noticeable lines and wrinkles. As well as flushing out destructive bacteria that live within our pores, using Oxygen Therapy with advanced serums can help to restructure your skin visibly plumping out fine lines.

With regular treatments, the skin increases its collagen and elastin formation, giving you a naturally firmer and clearer appearance. Building on this, the gentle vacuum action gives the facial muscles a mini workout each time, providing an instantaneous lifting effect and an on-going improvement in tone.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Increases skin firmness

Delivers deep penetration of the active COMCIT™ Skin Infusion Serums into the skin layers thereby plumping and smoothing lines and wrinkles.

The most advanced method of replacing lost moisture to the skin.

Provides oxygen to all levels of the skin.

Ensures a more hydrated skin.

Stimulates collagen production at a cellular level.

Reverses the damage caused by free radicals.

Cold oxygen is discharged through an internal peltier system and delivers onto the skin without any sensation of uneasiness. The cold oxygen swiftly freshens the skin and arouses the micro-circulation, positively increasing blood supply and thus providing nutrients essential for the stimulation of fibro-blasts for collagen production.

Puncture Jet Oxygen – to soothe and restructure the skin.

The Crystal Clear Oxygen system uses puncture jet technology that allows oxygen and the active ingredients to be driven into the skin. Performed in a closed circuit atmosphere, it offers the lower layers of the skin with much needed nutrients to repair and restructure from the inside out.

The first step is to have a free consultation at our experienced and certified clinic. We will explain how the technology works and discuss the most effective program available for treating the signs of ageing on your face. You will be provided with a quote, and we will take information about your medical history.

Treatment starts with a steam to open pores and a deep cleanse and detox to ensure your skin is clear and prepared and to remove any dirt or bacteria. A tonic is then blasted into the skin, which provides the deeper dermis layers the vital vitamins and minerals it needs to repair and regenerate collagen production.

Skin is then plumped with pure oxygen. This oxygen therapy is unbelievably soothing for the skin. It aids to calm down any redness. The oxygen also helps to plump out the skin.

Our clients are amazed by the results this skin treatment delivers, skin looks rejuvenated, radiant and fresh. You will notice an instant boost immediately after just one treatment but as with all our skin treatments we recommend a course of 6 treatments to maintain results.

Intraceuticals Oxygen facial rejuvenation, it is the first step towards your skin’s transformation. Cooling, calming pressurized oxygen increases the absorption of carefully selected products for individual skin concerns and naturally improves your skin moisture levels.

A combination of oxygen and lightweight Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins and antibacterial antioxidants result in instantly plumped, clarified skin with reduced blemishes. Your skin will emerge hydrated, calm, balanced, and glowing with health and vitality. Suitable for pregnant women.

Results are not only instant but continue to improve in the following days. A course of 6 treatments one week apart is recommended for maximum results.

Replenishment moisturizing: replenishment is a direct replenishment of the skin’s stratum corneum cells needed water, so that the water in the skin and the lack of water cells in order to fully integrate the skin cells to improve micro-circulation, the skin becomes moist

Dilute fine lines: the gradual aging of the elastic fibers, skin moisture and subcutaneous fat reduction, loss of elasticity of the skin and by the formation of subcutaneous muscle stretch

Clear the pores: to ensure the effect of moisture to the pores, soften the pores of semi-cured sebum, the goal is to clear the sebum metabolism of the tubing, keep the pores clean

Anti-aging: with age, the loss of collagen, the skin gradually yellowish and lose the original elasticity, become relaxed

Needle-free oxygen meter: the use of painless non-invasive non-invasive way, the use of oxygen injection instrument is only 21% of the concentration of oxygen in the air, through a special technology of molecular filter compression concentration of more than 95% oxygen activity factor, and then 0.2 Pa pressure to release, through the special way to join the active substance evenly sprayed on the face.

The device is very similar to  a make up artists make up gun in that it emits a continuous flow of 90 to 95 percent pure oxygen under hyperbaric pressure (compared to the 18 to 21 percent naturally in our environment). This is said to enhance the absorption of the serums so you theoretically get more benefit from the ingredients. Oxygen is also naturally antibacterial and has a cooling, calming effect.

FAQ

Intraceuticals is an Australian company specializing in oxygen technology. Intraceuticals was founded in 2002, and has distribution across 50 countries.

Unlike other oxygen facials, which atomize or spray oxygen on the skin, the Intraceuticals Oxygen System uses pure oxygen under pressure to deliver a special serum of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, essential vitamins, botanicals, antioxidants, and peptides to the skin. The results are instant and unlike any other facial treatment.

Intraceuticals are more than just a facial. The combination of oxygen under pressure and a special form of hyaluronic acid creates a visible result you can instantly see and feel. Your skin will immediately look and feel healthier and more vital.

You will see Instant visible results. The treatment deeply hydrates the skin and helps enhance volume and skin density. It firms, lifts, and improves overall texture and tone while dramatically reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  It soothes dry, sensitive, or stressed skin and helps to banish bacteria and provides an immediate increase in skin radiance and glow.

Hyaluronic Acid is your body’s natural moisture factor and the ability to retain and hold moisture is the secret to youthful, healthy vibrant skin. As we age our bodies produce less hyaluronic acid which is thought to be one of the leading causes of aging skin.

Intraceuticals leads the industry in new and novel uses of hyaluronic acid technology. The Intraceuticals treatments utilize multiple weights of hyaluronic acid to balance and support healthy skin function.

Oxygen makes up between 18- 21% of the atmosphere and is required to sustain life. The Intraceuticals system draws this oxygen in and filters it to a concentration of 90-95% pure oxygen.

Oxygen is a natural bactericide and helps cool and calm the skin. Intraceuticals uses oxygen under pressure to enhance the delivery of the Intraceuticals serums.

When the tip of the Intraceuticals Oxygen Applicator is held at a 90-degree angle, 1mm or less from the skin surface, an oxygen “pressure bubble” is formed which assists in the rapid absorption of the Intraceuticals products.

Intraceuticals treatments increase the skin’s moisture levels and targets dry, dehydrated and prematurely aging skin. It also works for sensitive skin, sun damage, brown spots, skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles, and skin with an uneven texture. It can also be used on sensitive skin prone to rosacea.

There are no contraindications to an Intraceuticals treatment. It is known for being very safe.

The Rejuvenate Treatment is often recommended by physicians as a calming, cooling skin treatment post non-ablative Fraxel, post IPL or 5-7 days after a deep peel treatment

LED Light Therapy Facial

LED Light Therapy Facial

LED Light Therapy Facial

LED light therapy has an established history of skin uses. The U.S. Navy SEALs began using it in the 1990s to help heal wounds quickly and to help regenerate damaged muscle tissues.

Since then, the treatment has been researched for different situations in aesthetics. It’s mainly noted for increasing collagen and tissues. All of which can smooth out your skin and reduce the appearance of damage from: age spots, acne, wrinkles.

There are different frequencies, or wavelengths, used with LED light treatment. These include red and blue light frequencies, which don’t contain ultraviolet rays and are readily absorbed into the skin.

Red light

Red, or infrared, light is used for treating the epidermis, which is the outer layer of skin. When the light is applied to your skin, the epidermis absorbs it and then stimulates collagen proteins.

In theory, more collagen means that your skin will look smoother and fuller, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Red LED light is also thought to reduce inflammation while improving circulation, which can give you a healthier glow.

Blue light

Blue LED light therapy, on the other hand, targets the sebaceous glands, which are also called oil glands. They’re located beneath your hair follicles.

Sebaceous glands are necessary for lubricating your skin and hair so that it doesn’t dry out. However, these glands can become overactive, leading to oily skin and acne.

The theory is that blue LED light therapy can target these oil glands and make them less active. In turn, you may see fewer acne breakouts. Blue light can also kill acne-causing bacteria beneath the skin, which can help treat severe acne pimples, including cysts and nodules.

Often times, blue LED light is used in conjunction with red LED light to:

Help treat acne

Decrease scarring

Promote anti-inflammatory effects

One 2018 animal study Trusted Source found that blue LED improved healing of third-degree skin burns.

While LED light therapy can technically be used on any part of the body, its most popular use is for the face. Skin damage tends to occur to your face because it’s exposed to the elements more than other body parts.

LED therapy can also be used on the neck and chest, which are other areas that tend to show signs of aging.

LED Phototherapy is a non-invasive hand and facial treatment that uses narrow band, non-thermal LED light energy to trigger your body’s natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin. It’s recommended for skin rejuvenation, sun damage, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sensitive and inflammatory conditions, wound healing and scarring as well as anyone looking to restore skin’s radiance.

LED Light Therapy is great in every single facial to calm any areas of irritation and it’s also brilliant at brightening the skin.

When used consistently, over time, LED lights are thought to penetrate your skin at different depths and cause various reactions in your skin, such as fighting acne-causing bacteria, plumping skin and reducing wrinkles.

A course of treatments offers corrective and long-lasting results, although you’ll be able to see a difference after the first session. Light therapy is also particularly calming, so you’ll leave feeling refreshed.

LED light therapy is a painless, relaxing, non-invasive skin-care treatment that has multiple benefits—particularly stimulating collagen and treating mild to moderate acne.

LED treatments work by using an array of bright light-emitting diodes (originally developed by NASA!) that send low-level light energy into the deeper layers of the skin. Red light LED stimulates cellular activity, including the fibroblasts that produce collagen, which gives young skin its plump look. That helps minimize fine lines and wrinkles, treat sun-damage and stretch marks, and reduce redness after more aggressive IPL or laser treatments. The results won’t be as dramatic as plastic surgery, IPL, or laser, but it’s a gentler, more natural, less expensive way to go.

Blue light LED works by killing Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that lives below the surface of the skin and is responsible for acne.

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs.

Your face shall be prepared for the treatment with a steam Facial followed with an exfoliation technique than your skin shall be ready for the treatment to take place.

Immediately prior to using your home light therapy device, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Or, use the device first thing in the morning before applying any skincare products to your face.

We shall ask you to lay on a comfy bed with my face positioned directly under panels that emanated different coloured lights. That was it. Relax and let the treatment do its work.

Each session lasts approximately 30-45 minutes, and up to 10 sessions may be necessary. After this, a person may need to return periodically for maintenance sessions. This is entirely dependent on different people’s skin types and concern areas.

LED, or light emitting diode therapy, is a skincare treatment that uses varying wavelengths of light, including red and blue.

NASA originally developed it for plant growth experiments on shuttle missions and later found it to have promise for wound treatment. LED light therapy is now used by some aestheticians to help regenerate the skin from aging. It’s also used for acne.

London Body Centre uses red or blue light frequencies based on the skincare concern. Red is primarily used for anti-aging, while blue is used for acne treatment.

Unlike other types of light therapy, LEDs do not contain ultraviolet rays. Therefore, they’re safe for regular use.

LED light therapy doesn’t cause burns compared to other anti-aging treatments such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, and laser therapy. It may be safe for all skin colours and types.

You shouldn’t use LED light therapy if you take Accutane for acne or if you’re experiencing skin rashes.

Side effects are rare, but may include increased inflammation, redness, and rashes.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy treatments are non-surgical and involve quick injections into the mesodermal layer of the skin. The fluid put into the skin claims to help in a variety of ways depending on where it is injected. From reducing the appearance of cellulite, acne and even stretch marks, mesotherapy is ideal for various issues. It is also commonly used to simply give your skin a much-needed boost. Mesotherapy can be used to address everything from dehydration, fine lines, cellulite and hair loss.

Mesotherapy is a technique that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, as well as remove excess fat.

What we offer at London Body Centre

The injections are a cocktail of vitamins, minerals and pharmaceuticals.

They can help by increasing circulation of blood flow to a specific area, stimulating the production of collagen, as well as addressing areas of damaged connective tissue. The needles are tiny and are injected in several places in the affected area.

Because the needles are small and enter and exit quickly, supposedly this treatment is not painful, but you can have an anaesthetic cream rubbed in first to reduce the chances of it being uncomfortable. It can be completed within an hour and you do not need recovery time afterwards, hence why it is a popular choice.

The formula injected into the skin makes all the difference as to the results you’ll achieve, but a small amount of plumping, moisturising hyaluronic acid is a common inclusion to replace the skin’s natural stores, and vitamins and amino acids you’ll be familiar with from your skincare labels are also often delivered via mesotherapy. A typical mesotherapy blend might contain 50 ingredients to nourish, repair and rejuvenate skin, delivered via tiny needles or a mesotherapy ‘gun’, which sounds terrifying but is apparently painless during treatment, although a numbing cream may be applied beforehand to minimise discomfort.

Mesotherapy has many advantages. It eliminates the side-effects and contra-indications associated with many medications. Often medication intolerance is due to the fact that medication reaches parts of the body that has no need for it. Because the target area is reached immediately and the substance is at the correct concentration, the amount of the drug needed is greatly reduced and the effects can be realized more rapidly. The only side-effect is the possibility of minor bruising. Mesotherapy is virtually painless, requires no down-time, no bandages or an aesthesia.

After a thorough evaluation by the medical practitioner, the target areas are administered, covering the whole of the area. There are various methods of injecting, such as injection guns, multiple needle administration apparatus and ordinary syringes and small gauge needles.

The injection procedure is carried out every two weeks for 8 to 10 sessions.

Mesotherapy Benefits Include:

Improved blood flow to the area
Dissolving excess fat deposits
Removing fibrotic hardened connective tissue
Improved lymph drainage
Get rid of love handles, bra bulge or saddlebags
Excellent results on loose skin & cellulite

Mesotherapy can be used on any part of the body, including double chin and fat pads under the eyes. Alternative mesotherapy treatments include injections to stimulate hair growth, micro injections in the face that turn back the clock on the skin and various other medical conditions.

Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
  • Results from the Dermal Filler and Botox injections will take approximately 4 to 7 days to appear. Also bruising and swelling may be apparent in that time period. Sculptra does take longer to see results so plan accordingly with your provider.
  • Discontinue Retin-A 2 days before and 2 days after treatment.

  • You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Mesotherapy is one of the most popular skin rejuvenation techniques in the aesthetic market, it vastly improves the appearance of lacklustre skin and can also aid in the improvement of skin concerns. The treatment works by directly introducing potent mixtures of vitamins, minerals and active ingredients to deeper layers of the skin, as a result the skin appears plumper and achieves a radiant glow.

The treatment uses very fine needles to administer a combination of vitamins, hyaluronic acid, plant extracts and enzymes into the support layer of the skin, also known as the dermis. This is something that cannot be achieved by using skincare only.

  • Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area. Unless instructed by the provider.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.
  • Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling.
  • If you have swelling you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour.
  • Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling.
  • Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling, start at least 2 days prior to injections.

Usually treating the face, neck, decolletage and or hands:

  • Dull skin
  • Dry skin conditions
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Superficial lines and wrinkles
  • Hair loss
  • Small pockets of fat
  • Cellulite

Mesotherapy rejuvenates from the inside. Unlike topical treatments – which treat the top layer of skin – mesotherapy works from within the skin to promote collagen, elastin, and cellular turnover.

Stimulated skin metabolism = tighter, firmer skin! Many clients report feeling tighter and more contoured after a mesotherapy treatment. As the skin’s metabolism increases, skin tightens, making the treatment area look slimmer and smaller.

Mesotherapy can be used for multiple trouble spots. Mesotherapy can be used for a variety of trouble spots. Micro-injections of hyaluronic acid can be used to plump the hands, neck, and chest area for firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

The treatment is surprisingly old! Is mesotherapy a new treatment? Actually, these injections were pioneered by French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, making this therapy over 60 years old.

Mesotherapy can complement your other skin treatments. Mesotherapy can be used as a complement to other skin care treatments, including skin peels, Botox injections, and dermal fillers.

Myths circulating on the subject of the procedure

Mesotherapy is often confused with injections of platelet rich plasma. Indeed, the way the preparations are administered under the skin may be the same, but the treatments vary significantly. In the mesotherapy under the skin are given beneficial substances either with a syringe or a special device with needles or needle-free, i.e. usually with the use of direct current or ultrasounds. Platelet rich plasma can be administered on the basis of mesotherapy, but also by other methods. Then, mesotherapy with platelet-rich plasma is mentioned.

The second myth applies to the use of mesotherapy only on the face or neck. The treatment is much more universal than we think. Most often it is the face that is undergoing it, but earlier also mentioned mesotherapy in the treatment of cellulite and stretch marks, which already indicates that its use is much wider in aesthetic medicine. Mesotherapy can be used to firm the skin on the stomach or arms. It is also effective in the fight against baldness or its prevention. It improves skin condition on the hands, which quickly shows signs of aging.

The subject of mesotherapy is also the myth that it is a treatment only for mature people. It probably arose because it is mature patients who decide to do it because of visible wrinkles and loss of skin firmness. However, mesotherapy can be carried out on everyone and the sooner the better. It is not only a treatment that reduces skin problems, but also great preventive therapy. The skin will retain its shine, smoothness and aesthetics for a longer time if we provide nutrients to it on a regular basis.

Only a series of mesotherapy treatments guarantees their effectiveness – it is also a myth. It all depends on what skin problem we face. Many patients feel the difference after the first mesotherapy. Of course, for the best results, it is recommended to perform the procedure regularly, eg every 2-4 months. Sometimes their series is used at the beginning, and then subsequent treatments affect the extension of results. The more advanced the skin problem, the more treatments it will need.

Although mesotherapy is widely used, it can not be carried out on any patient. The contraindications of the procedure include infections, allergies and pregnancy. Specialists also do not recommend it to people with very sensitive or thick skin because of the risk of irritation.

PROCEDURE TIME

Between; 45 mins -1 hour

DOWNTIME

With minimal downtime – a little bruising and swelling may occur but it will be short lived and should settle within 24 hours – skin will become more radiant, hydrated, nourished and firmer with an improved texture. A course of 6-8 sessions are advised every two weeks with maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year.

DURATION OF RESULTS

Benefits from each injection should be evident within three weeks of the treatment. Several treatments, four to six weeks apart, are often required to produce a fully satisfactory result.

FAQ

With traditional mesotherapy the most commonly used injectable is Hyaluronic Acid because of the well-known qualities in regenerating the skin.

Mesotherapy will regenerate the skin in the areas treated.  It will make deep wrinkles far less visible and it will have a lifting effect because the skin will be firmer.  This is done by stimulating the fibroblasts within the skin and acting on a cellular level.

Hyaluronic Acid is a bio identical substance that is readily produced in your body so it has an extremely low rejection rate.  The reason insurance is so easy to get is because there is very low risk of complication.

The protocol is to do three treatments in the space of 6 weeks and then monthly or bi monthly according to skin type and results.

The sensation will be different for each person however you may feel a slight pinch when the injection is administered.

Vampire Facial

Vampire Facial

A “blood facial” or “vampire facial” is a cosmetic procedure during which a doctor draws a couple vials of blood from your arm, centrifuges the blood to separate out the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells, and then adds the platelet-rich plasma back into your face. A vampire facial triggers collagen production. Collagen is the latticework of the face, so a PRP Vampire facial helps tighten, smooth and improve skin tone.

Benefits of a PRP Vampire Facial

Increased Collagen Production. Around the age of 25, your body’s collagen production rate drops drastically.

Reduced Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Tighter, Firmer Skin

Improved Moisture Retention

Enhanced Skin Tone and Texture

Lasting Results

The technician first spreads plasma on your face and then uses micro needling across your cheeks and forehead to help your face absorb the proteins.

Micro needling is exactly what it sounds like — a procedure that creates a series of tiny, superficial punctures using sterile needles.

Both PRP and micro needling stimulate collagen growth, and are more effective when done together. We attack the problem in two layers: beneath the skin and on top of it.

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have a patch test to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.

Avoid any blood thinners at least a few days before your appointment: aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Omega-3, Ginkgo Biloba, etc. Trust your skin only to the top industry experts to ensure beautiful results.

First, we use a numbing cream on the patient’s face. Then, we draw blood from the patient’s arm and run it through a centrifuge to create PRP. Once the patient’s face is numb, we begin microneedling, which is a technique that involves puncturing the skin with several tiny needles. The needling process is often combined with microdermabrasion to remove dead and dry skin on the surface. After microneedling, PRP is applied to the surface of the face. The PRP absorbs into the tiny pinprick holes that the microneedling has created. Altogether, this process makes up the vampire facial and stimulates collagen growth that will have you looking years younger.

While Vampire Facials are a very effective treatment, unfortunately they cannot do exactly what plastic surgery can. … A Vampire Facial helps with skin complexion, etched in wrinkles and lines, melasma, acne, and acne scarring.

The effects of the procedure improve for 2 to 3 months and last for at least 1 to 2 years! The multipotent stem cells then develop into new collagen, new blood vessels, and new fatty tissue trying to “repair” the skin that was never injured!

The PRP Vampire facial procedure is safe for almost everyone, except for those with clotting conditions that require blood thinners or those with other blood-related health issues.

It can help smooth wrinkles and scarring. Unlike many dermal fillers, the Vampire Facial isn’t just a filler. Instead of simply adding volume to plump up a problem area (as most fillers do), the Vampire Facial helps restore facial shape, as well as improve skin tone and texture. Healing platelets in the plasma actually rejuvenate and restore damaged skin and tissues, helping to smooth wrinkles and erase scarring.

It promotes new cell development. The procedure uses your body’s own blood, separating out plasma and its healing platelets to stimulate new cell growth. Essentially, the plasma injection tricks the body into thinking it’s been injured, which stimulates the release of stem cells. These stem cells get to work creating new, fresh tissue that is full of collagen, new blood vessels, and new cells. This all leads to a fresher, younger look.

It began as an orthopedic procedure. The Vampire Facial was first introduced over 30 years ago for use after orthopedic surgery. Known as Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, the procedure was used to boost healing by forcing platelets into the damaged area. Platelets are important for clotting, which stimulates enzymes that help heal and play a role in tissue regeneration.

It’s one of the most natural dermal filler procedures available. Many dermal fillers are made from synthetic materials to form a gel that sits under the skin, filling in lines and wrinkles. The gel is slowly absorbed by the body and repeat injections are needed to maintain the look. A Vampire Facial, by contrast, stimulates the body to create fresh collagen and tissues for longer lasting results. Many times, a single injection is enough to produce the desired result.

It’s a better choice for sensitive skin. The Vampire Facial uses your own blood, stimulates new tissue and cell growth, and requires no invasive procedures, skin ablation, or resurfacing making it a better choice for individuals with sensitive skin or those concerned about reacting to synthetic fillers.

FAQ

  • Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, has been used to promote healing in injured joints for years. However, it’s only recently we’ve begun using it for skin health as well. PRP comes from your own blood. The platelets in your blood are rich in growth factors that can stimulate cell turnover in the skin. PRP treatment triggers collagen production that tightens and smooths facial skin. To acquire PRP, your medical professional will take a small sample of your blood, then extract the plasma and platelets. The sample is then concentrated, creating the platelet-rich plasma.

The vampire facials we perform come with several benefits. These plasma facials are known to make patients’ skin look younger by tightening wrinkles and eliminating fine lines. Vampire facials improve the overall texture of the skin as well, while also minimizing acne scars.

Good news— the PRP procedure is virtually painless. Most patients report only feeling an initial needle pinch. Sometimes patients may experience mild pain after the numbing cream has been applied, but the tenderness is usually confined to more sensitive areas like the mouth. It’s important to remember that pain tolerance varies from person to person, and vampire facials may be more uncomfortable for some patients.

Vampire facials may come with side effects, but nothing too significant. Since the PRP treatment is made of the patient’s own blood, there’s little chance for an allergic reaction. Some patients report minor side effects like bruising, swelling, or itching. Usually, these symptoms go away on their own relatively quickly. Make sure to let your medical professional know about any preexisting conditions you may have that could be agitated by the procedure. Our staff in Columbia, MD is always ready to address your concerns.

After a vampire facial, you may start seeing results right away. In most cases, patients notice the most improvement up to three weeks after the PRP treatment. Others may wait up to six months to see the full results of the vampire facial. However, it’s important to remember that although these results can be long-lasting, they aren’t permanent. Many patients elect to schedule multiple treatments to achieve the best outcome.

Almost anyone can be a candidate for a vampire facial. PRP facials are especially helpful for people with wrinkles, fine lines, and acne scars. They are also effective for those with sun-damaged skin. Most people who are unhappy with imperfections on their facial skin can safely undergo the procedure. However, those with blood disorders or who need blood thinners should refrain from PRP treatment. Always let your medical professional know about your health history before deciding on a vampire facial.

Botox actually works by paralyzing the muscle. This procedure (Vampire Facelift) is to restore volume to the skin.

No. The Vampire Facelift is a simple, nonsurgical, noninvasive procedure that involves a series of injections to the face.

Vampires are big in entertainment and pop culture right now, and the procedure does deal with your blood. In the office, we refer to the procedure as PRP, which is the medical reference to the procedure, which stands for Platelet Rich Plasma.

Prophilo

Prophilo

Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid to address skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It is injected just below the surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with the tissue to instantly boost hydration.

It is a remodelling treatment designed to give your skin a glowing complexion. It is perfect for dull, tired, ageing skin that is in desperate need of a burst of vitality. From the age of 30, our skin begins to lose precious vitamins and proteins that keep our skin firm and youthful. Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) are lost as we get older, causing the skin to wrinkle, sag and fold. By stimulating the production of Collagen and Elastin within this treatment, it will emit the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid, which improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Profhilo works to give your skin a huge hydration boost, lifting the tone and improving the texture of your complexion with natural and beautifully subtle results.

What we offer at London Body Centre

An Effective Non-Surgical Treatment

Most skin care treatments that have proven to be effective usually involve a surgical process. Most of these treatments are not only critical but expensive as well. The Profhilo treatment, however, is excellent for your face and skin since it is non-surgical. Even though it is a non-surgical treatment, the results are worthwhile and have always been highly effective. This implies that Profhilo treatment is convenient for everyone and does not have any major side-effects.

Fights Skin Laxity

For anyone undergoing the problem of skin laxity, the Profhilo Treatment is known for its commendable performance in treating it. The treatment processes in a manner where collagen and elastin fibres are remodelled on the dermal matrix and counteract skin laxity instantly. This means that you would not have to experience skin laxity since this treatment would tighten your skin and make it appear as fresh as ever.

Improves skin quality

The Profhilo treatment offers a solution to numerous skin problems that we deal with, on a daily basis. For people who get wrinkles, crepiness, or loose skin, this treatment has proven to be exemplary. It removes wrinkles from your skin and makes it appear clear, spotless, and flawless. By tightening your skin, it lifts it and makes you look younger and fresher.

Targets problematic areas

Most people face issues on specific parts of their face, such as under eye wrinkles, crepey cheeks, or fine lines that surround the eyes. For instance, most smokers have smoker lines as well as fine lines that form around their mouth. The Profhilo treatment is excellent in targeting these areas and it ensures that each area is fully treated. Apart from this, it also caters to the needs of your neck or hands by tightening them and making them appear smooth as ever.

Improves your skin’s texture and its tone

Not only does the Profhilo treatment remove unwanted marks or dents from your skin but it also improves its texture by softening it. Moreover, Profhilo treatment is an ideal strategy to improve your skin tone. It cleans your skin by removing oils and burns you have had previously and improves your skin tone by exposing your original skin color. Overall, this treatment clears your skin, your skin tone, and the texture of your skin.

The Profhilo Treatment does wonders for your skin by restoring radiance, increasing its firmness and elasticity, and rehydrating it. It makes you feel fresh and young.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance produced in our body, found in skin, joints and other connective tissue. Its role is to retain moisture in the body and aid collagen production. It can hold 1000 times its weight in water which makes it ideal for binding moisture in the skin. With age, however, hyaluronic acid production slows and the skin looks dull and dehydrated, with fine lines and wrinkles forming.

Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of stabilised hyaluronic acid on the market. Because it is thermally bonded and not chemically bonded it acts as a hydrator not a filler. It is injected just underneath the surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissue to instantly boost hydration. Over the next four weeks phase two kick in as it goes to work boosting elastin and collagen production. This effectively remodels the skin and gives it a plumper, smoother and firmer appearance.

Due to its gel like consistency Profhilo distributes smoothly and evenly without the formation of any lumps – a potential risk with traditional fillers. This means it can be used on areas which are difficult to treat with traditional fillers, such as the neck and forehead.

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have a patch test to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.

Also, we recommend in the week before your treatment, try to avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen or any other type of anti-inflammatory medication as this will reduce your risk of swelling and bruising. Ask your medical practitioner for further advice if you have any concerns.

During Profhilo treatment, your desired body part will be injected with roughly 2ml of hyaluronic acid-based treatment in around five places. This is injected just below the skin layer where it quickly disperses and spreads throughout the skin, providing instant hydration.

After the treatment, it is recommended to avoid physical strain and sports for 24 hours. Please also avoid having further cosmetic procedures for 48 hours. It is not recommended to have a sauna or steam bath for the first few days either. It’s best to stay out of the sun if any bruising or prolonged swelling occurs.

Although Profhilo treatments can instantly rejuvenate and hydrate skin, it typically takes 4 to 6 weeks to work properly since the treatment injected requires some time to spread and trigger collagen and elastic production within your body. Since everybody is different, the time can vary between a month to two months.

As the medical aesthetics industry advances in technology and innovation, more and more options are available when it comes to choosing cosmetic injectables. Dermal fillers and wrinkle relaxing treatments have been used for years to rejuvenate the skin, but have you heard of a new treatment called Profhilo?

This advanced ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid-based bio-remodelling and moisturising treatment activates collagen, elastin and skin receptors to improve and restore firmness of the skin.

One of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid

Profhilo has a unique formulation which not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue rather than simply adding volume like traditional dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally produced by our body which promotes gorgeous, youthful and supple skin.

It can have a remodelling effect on the skin

Unlike traditional wrinkle relaxing treatments and dermal fillers, the unique formulation of Profhilo stimulates the skin receptors, and the high molecular weight hyaluronic acid in Profhilo counteracts skin laxity whilst remodelling the tissue, resulting in a lifting and tightening effect.

It has powerful hydrating properties

By precisely injecting ultra-pure hyaluronic acid, Profhilo acts in a way that dermal fillers may not, stimulating collagen and elastin and attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. Results include the improvement of the skin’s texture, firmness and radiance in addition to the wrinkle erasing results. The powerful moisturising properties and unique hyaluronic acid formulation of Profhilo combat the signs of fine lines and wrinkles, whilst deeply hydrating the skin and restoring that beautiful youthful glow.

Profhilo is a versatile injectable treatment offering benefits to all ages

It is the perfect choice for those who are looking for a youth boost and do not want to have dermal filler or wrinkle relaxing treatments. In addition, it can be used in combination with additional aesthetic treatments as it acts directly on skin laxity and can also improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, pores and dull pigmented skin as part of a bespoke skin programme.

Profhilo can be used to treat different areas

Profhilo can be used on numerous areas such as the face, neck, décolleté, hands, arms and knees. The results of a Profhilo treatment can be experienced up to 6 months and consists of two treatments spaced four weeks apart with minimal to no downtime. With reduced number of sessions and number of injection sites, the discomfort is minimal.

PROCEDURE TIME

Between; 45 mins -1 hour

DOWNTIME

There is no downtime with Profhilo. However, it’s advisable to avoid alcohol, aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication in the 24 hours prior to the treatment. Vitamin C and Vitamin E can also increase the likelihood of bruising, but it is fine to use 48 hours after.

Immediately afterwards, it’s important to avoid wearing make-up and strenuous exercise such as going to the gym, swimming or extreme sports and hot steam rooms and saunas for at least 24 hours.

DURATION OF RESULTS

Longevity does vary between individuals, but results are expected to be gained over a period of 4-6 weeks and last for approximately 6 months. If you choose not to maintain the results with further treatment, your skin will return to its pre-treatment state over time. Most people can continue with normal activities.

FAQ

Profhilo is currently the only product capable of stimulating your natural production of all four types of collagen and elastin – these vital substances which are lost from the skin as we age. So it is accurate to say that it can effectively cure certain kinds of wrinkles from within the skin, by boosting and utilising your natural processes.

During the Profhilo treatment we inject the product using very fine needles in five specific points on the face that Profhilo call the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs).

The BAP technique is seen as the optimum method for placement of the HA for the lower face. It allows the treatment to be effective and simple, reducing the chance of pain, bruising or haematoma at the injection site.

Once injected, the product immediately starts spreading due to the high concentration of HA and its cohesive nature. It flows and distributes itself evenly, rather than remaining where it is placed, naturally and without resistance integrating within your skin’s existing tissue.

It has been reported that from the age of about twenty, each year we lose around 1% of the collagen and elastin from our skin tissue. As a result of this gradual depletion, the skin becomes thinner and as the time goes by it has less and less of its youthful ‘bounce’.

Profhilo is especially effective at treating loose skin in the neck, cheek and jowls as well as other areas usually considered difficult to treat with injectable products, such as the:

Temples

Forehead

Hands

Upper arms

Such side effects will only be mild and redness will appear for some time such as erythema (redness), pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the injection site.

For most patients, we recommend an initial course of two treatment sessions, with an interval of one month between sessions.

We may then recommend top-up and maintenance sessions, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.

You should notice the results of the treatment – increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of your skin – lasting around six months.

However, other factors can affect the results, including the degree of correction needed, your age and lifestyle and your skin’s natural ageing process.

If it was free natural HA it could be considered too concentrated, but there is a slow and long lasting release of the natural HA owing to the hybrid cooperative complexes . This is also the explanation for the different biological behaviour with respect to H-HA and L-HA alone.

Profhilo works in a course of 2 or 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart. On the face, only 5 injection points are necessary on each side of the face to give maximum results.

Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is injected just under the surface of the skin, where it disperses quickly (due to the lack of BDDE cross-linking agent) and reacts with your own tissues to instantly boost hydration. Over the following 4 weeks, phase 2 will boost collagen and elastin production within the dermis. This helps to give the skin a youthful, plump, smooth and firm appearance.

Profhilo can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other dermal fillers, laser treatments or Botox as part of a holistic approach to skin remodelling and revitalisation.

We use Profhilo to create an airbrushed skin effect on patients of all ages. It is especially popular with patients over the age of 30.

If you are not happy with your skin laxity, have crêpey or thin skin as well as other visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles, you could be suitable for Profhilo.

What is Profhilo like to have done? As Profhilo is injected just under the skin using very fine needles in pre-determined points, it is relatively painless; you may feel a short sting or scratch, but this is short-lived. Patients can opt for topical pain relief or anaesthetic before a Profhilo treatment, but it is usually not needed.

The procedure is very quick, taking only about 10 minutes.

You will need to avoid excessive sunlight for 48 hours after Profhilo® and wear a high SPF sunscreen.

It’s important to know that if you expose your skin to the sun, this will only have a detrimental effect on your skin quality and hydration. Investing in good habits such as wearing SPF and a wide-brimmed hat when going into extreme sunlight, as well as having regular treatments such as Profhilo® will help your skin hugely, in the long-run.

There are no long-term side-effects with Profhilo as it is metabolised by the body completely. The risk of any allergic reaction is substantially reduced due to the lack of any synthetic chemicals such as BDDE.

Some people can experience some redness, slight bruising, tenderness and possible itching at the injection sites, but these will subside in a few hours to a day and are totally natural.

Carboxy Therapy

Carboxy Therapy

Carboxytherapy is treatment for cellulite, stretch marks, and dark under-eye circles. It originated in French spas in the 1930s. The treatment can be applied to the eyelids, neck, face, arms, buttocks, stomach, and legs. It uses infusions of carbon dioxide, a naturally occurring gas in the body.

Carboxy therapy for the face and body is a revolutionary treatment that uses carbon dioxide to reduce the appearance of scars, fade out stretch marks and diminish dark under eye circles. It is also an effective form of treatment for fat reduction, working to encourage the disposal of fat cells.

Our bodies naturally produce carbon dioxide, but when injected directly to specific areas, it can encourage an increased flow of oxygen, improving circulation. The increase in oxygen underneath scarred or darkened skin from Carboxy injections for the face and body can enhance blood circulation and new cell production, helping to improve the texture and brighten the skin on the treated areas. In addition to restoring skin to a more natural colour, using Carboxy therapy for the face also works to reduce inflammation, further enhancing results of the treatment.

This fantastic, minimally invasive treatment can offer long lasting improvements without downtime. This CO2 treatment for dark circles and a range of other skin concerns can provide fantastic results. Carboxy therapy for the face and body is perfectly safe and effective and is only carried out by qualified Nurses in our clinics.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Carboxy face treatments target the delicate under eye area, providing a great non-surgical solution to tackle dark under eye circles.

Stretch marks can appear on various parts of the body and are something that both men and women can suffer from. It is, however, incredibly common for them to appear during and after pregnancy. Whether you suffer from stretch marks on your stomach, bum, breasts, legs or anywhere else, Carboxy for stretch marks can help. The treatment works to reduce the appearance of stretch marks by returning the skin to a more natural colour.

Stubborn cellulite and fat can be very challenging to treat. Carboxy therapy for weight loss is designed to dissolve fat cells, releasing the fat and helping to improve microcirculation. As a result, it can be a great inch loss, fat reduction and cellulite treatment, helping to give you a smoother, more refined, sculpted figure. Carboxy therapy for weight loss can be suitable for the most challenging localised areas of fat such as love handles, saddle bags, tummy roll, thighs and double chin.

Carboxy therapy is a simple procedure that injects carbon dioxide gas to the treatment area to stimulate blood flow to improve the skin’s appearance and elasticity.

The specifics of the procedure will vary based on the part of the body being treated. The mechanics of the procedure, however, are mostly the same.

A tank of carbon dioxide gas is connected to a flow-regulator with plastic tubing. The physician will carefully regulate how much gas flows from the tank. The gas is emitted through the flow-regulator and into sterile tubing that has a filter at the end. The filter picks up any impurities before they reach the body. The gas then runs through a very small needle on the opposite side of the filter. The physician injects the gas beneath the skin through the needle.

The procedure is almost entirely painless. Some physicians rub numbing cream on the injection site before inserting the needle. Despite the lack of pain, some people report feeling a strange sensation briefly afterward.

Poor blood circulation is partially responsible for cellulite, stretch marks, and dark under-eye circles. Cells in the body release carbon dioxide as waste. Red blood cells take the oxygen you inhale and carry it to tissues, then pick up carbon dioxide. Eventually, the carbon dioxide is exhaled by the lungs.

We can increase blood circulation to a specific area by injecting carbon dioxide, causing the red blood cells to rush to the area. When the blood cells reach the location, they create an increase in circulation. This works to repair skin elasticity and, in the case of under-eye circles, change pigment to a healthy glow.

Stretch marks: The stretch marks you see on your body are a rupture of dermal collagen. Carboxytherapy creates new collagen, which thickens the skin and improves its appearance.

Cellulite: Carbon dioxide gas can also be injected into fat cells, which causes the cells to burst and be eliminated in the body. Cellulite is caused when subcutaneous fat protrudes through the skin. Several studies have found that carboxytherapy is both safe and effective when used to treat cellulite.

Under-eye circles: Dark circles under the eyes are usually caused by poor circulation, which creates vascular pooling. Injecting the gas under the eyelid reduces this bluish pooling and replaces it with a blush tone.

Alopecia: Alopecia (hair loss) caused by poor circulation can be treated with carboxytherapy as well.

There is no specific preparation before the procedure, though your physician may have special instructions depending on your circumstances.

A topical numbing cream may be applied to the injection area before the needle is inserted. During treatment, a small needle will be inserted into the skin into the subcutaneous tissue. From the injection point, the carbon dioxide diffuses into adjacent tissues. The excess CO2 tricks the body into sending more oxygenated blood to the area, improving circulation and overall appearance to the skin. This increased circulation is also believed to improve skin elasticity while the CO2 helps to destroy fat cells which are naturally disposed of by the body’s lymphatic system.

Results from carboxy therapy require multiple sessions of the course of several months to see results with upkeep treatments needed every 6 weeks.

Carboxytherapy is a relatively safe procedure with almost no side effects. People may have bruising at the injection site, specifically in the arms and legs. This bruising should clear up within a week. People who get the procedure for fat reduction or cellulite also shouldn’t immerse themselves in water for 24 hours, including swimming or using a bathtub.

When carboxytherapy is used to treat stretch marks and scars, it is relatively painless. This is because scar tissue does not have nerves. You may feel an itching sensation as the stretch marks are distended during the procedure. The itchiness should resolve in about five minutes.

People who use carboxytherapy for treating cellulite and fatty deposits may feel pressure during the injection, like the sensation felt during a blood pressure test. This is caused by the expanding gas. Treated areas will feel warm and tingly after the treatment for up to 24 hours, as the carbon dioxide gas does its job and circulation improves. However, you should be able to perform your normal routine after the procedure is over.

FAQ

Carboxy therapy for the face does not result in any downtime. You are free to return to work or your normal activities straight after your treatment. You should expect slight swelling on the treated areas as well as redness when treating stretch marks and scars which will soon subside. The treatment does not require an anaesthetic of any kind.

There are no known risks associated with Carboxy injections for the face or body. It is an entirely safe treatment due to the fact that CO2 occurs naturally.

Your practitioner will assess the number of treatments you should have, according to your skin condition. Usually a course of 6 treatments is recommended.

How long carboxy therapy lasts will depend on the area and concern you wish to treat, the number of treatments you undergo and whether you return for maintenance. Carboxy injections for the face and body can have better lasting results after a full course of treatment where the skin can get to a healthy stage of rejuvenation.

If you suffer with dark circles under your eyes that are ageing your appearance or looking to fade out stretch marks and scarring, then Carboxy therapy for the face could be a suitable solution. This versatile treatment can also be used for fat reduction or as a cellulite reduction solution, targeting specific areas of stubborn fat, encouraging the disposal of unwanted fat cells in order to leave you with a smoother more toned, beautifully contoured skin.

Side effects of carboxy therapy can include bruising at the injection site, specifically in the arms and legs. This bruising should clear up within a week.

Carboxy therapy is not recommended for patients who have any skin diseases or infections in the area treated, otherwise there are few medical reasons why patients should not undergo this treatment.

The ideal candidate for carboxy therapy is in generally good health and is looking to treat cellulite, stretch marks, scarring, and/or dark under eye circles in a minimally invasive way.

The effect of one Carboxy treatment will last for around a week or two, but with a course of ten treatments over a couple of months, the results can last for up to six months, or even longer. The increased blood flow gradually improves the capillary network so that circulation is enhanced in the long run.

Carboxytherapy doesn’t hurt, it just feels a little “weird.” This is because of differences in the techniques used to treat the eyelids, stretch-marks, scars, and fat deposits, the sensation is slightly different depending upon what is actually being treated.

Carboxytherapy is the only treatment available for both old and new stretch marks that visibly repairs the broken collagen and is safe for all skin types. Carboxytherapy causes the formation of new collagen and subsequently thickens the skin to improve the appearance of the stretch marks by rebuilding the collagen matrix. Stretchmarks(striae  distensae)  occur  when  the  skin  is  stretched  to  the  point  where  the  dermal  collagen  ruptures. Carboxytherapy causes the formation  of  new  collagen  and  subsequently  thickens  the  skin  to  improve  the  appearance  of  the  stretch marks  by  rebuilding  the collagen matrix.

Therapy involves injecting tiny amounts of Carbon dioxide (CO2) beneath the skin to break down fatty deposits and stimulate collagen production. The treatment has no downtime and a single session can take between fifteen minutes and an hour.

In addition to  increasing  oxygenated  blood-flow  to  the  region  injected,  carboxytherapy  also  increases  collagen  formation  in  the  skin,  giving it a more youthful appearance.

One major cause of dark under  eye  circles  is  vascular  pooling.  The capillary network of the lower  eyelids  can  become  congested  for  a variety  of  reasons.  Normally,  the  tears  drain  from  the  eyelids  into  the  nose,  but  if  there  is  some  obstruction  due  to  chronic  nasal  congestion from  seasonal  allergies,  previous  nasal  fracture,  or  a  deviated  septum,  the  drainage  doesn’t  function  well,  and  the  blood  flow  to  the  lower eyelids  becomes  sluggish,  giving  rise  to  the  boggy  blue  tinge  known  casually  as  “allergic  shiners.”  The lack of appropriate  oxygenation  to  the lower  eyelid  skin  allows  the  bluish  cast  to  show  through  the  thin  skin  of  the  eyelids.  Carboxytherapy works  to  improve  the  capillary  network of  the  lower  eyelids,  as  well  as  to  increase  the  dermal  collagen  layer  in  the  lower  eyelid  skin.  By injecting a  small  amount  of  carbon  dioxide gas  into  the  affected  areas,  blood  flow  is  increased  and  improved  capillary  networks  are  formed  for  longer  lasting  circulatory  benefit.  The bluish cast  is  replaced  with  a  healthy  pink  tone.  Once a  series  of  treatments  is  completed,  the  skin  has  a  more  luminous  appearance  that lasts approximately six months. The technique used  to  treat  dark  circles  beneath  the  eyelids  is  different  than  the  technique  used  to  treat  fat.  However, there are  some instances where we may wish to dissolve fat beneath the eyelids.

When injected via  a  specific  technique,  carbon  dioxide  gas  is  directly  toxic  to  fat  cells.  The fat  cells  literally  burst  and  are  eliminated  by  the body.

We use  a  special  machine  to  administer  the  carbon  dioxide  gas.  There is a  tank  of  carbon  dioxide  gas  that  is  connected  by  plastic  tubing  to a  flow-regulator.  The flow regulator slows   down  the  speed  of  the  gas  according  to  the  rate  selected  by  the  physician,  Dr.med.  J.  Infantes. The  gas  emerges  from  the  flow-regulator  into  sterile  tubing  that  has  a  filter  connected  at  the  exit  to  remove  any  trace  impurities  before  the gas  is  run  through  a  tiny  needle  attached  to  the  opposite  side  of  the  filter.  The pure  gas  is  now  ready  to  be  injected  beneath  the  skin  via  the tiny needle.

HIFU

HIFU

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a relatively new cosmetic treatment for skin tightening that some consider a non-invasive and painless replacement for face lifts. It uses ultrasound energy to encourage the production of collagen, which results in firmer skin. The procedure is also used for overall facial rejuvenation, lifting, wrinkles, tightening, and body contouring in areas such as love handles, inner and outer thighs, tummy, Bingo wings, buttocks and more.

Our skin remains tight when there is a high concentration of collagen and elastin in the dermis layer. When the body lowers its production of collagen, the upper layers of skin begin to wrinkle and sag. To reverse this process HIFU is used to stimulate the collagen growth by sending ultrasound thermal energy to the dermis layer.

The wave of energy causes small injury to the tissue. The tissue heals and it produces new collagen that tightens the skin naturally. HIFU skin lifting treatment is a safe, effective, approach for those  who aspire to reverse the signs of aging and to evenly tighten – tone their skin, by focusing on re-energizing the deeper structural layers beneath its surface. It can effectively invigorate the quality and appearance of the skin and improve your self-esteem. The regenerating, long lasting effects can be accomplished without the invasive risks and long recovery time, associated with traditional face lift surgery.

FAT REDUCTION – Unlike weight loss surgery or other non-surgical weight loss procedures, the results with HIFU Body Lipolysis treatments do last, because once the fat cells are destroyed they are gone for good. Even if you don’t weigh less you’ll be trimmer and your clothes will not only fit and feel better, but you will look better too.

WEIGHT LOSS – When losing weight, your fat cells only become smaller, they will never disappear, the number of cells is still the same. When you gain weight your fat cells become larger again. After the procedure, the treated areas have fewer fat cells permanently and unlike what happens with other procedures there is no change in fat cell distribution in untreated areas.

The treatment can be used in many areas of the body including the; Stomach, Thighs -Inner and Outer, Back, Love Handles, Upper Arms, providing there is over 2.6 cm of fat and in the targeted area to be treated non.

HIFU is the use of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound to permanently destroy fat cells without harming the surface of the skin but also combines a skin tightening element to the treatment, unlike no other procedure.

During a treatment, the high-intensity focussed ultrasound heat targets fat cells, where heat passes through the skin and these cells beneath the surface are permanently destroyed. The procedure is suitable for both men and women.

During a treatment, high-intensity ultrasound energy is focused on the targeted fat, similar to the way a magnifying glass works. The energy passes through the skin and the targeted fat beneath the surface is permanently destroyed. Over the next few weeks & months, the body naturally removes the destroyed fat which is drained to the liver via your natural lymphatic channels and circulation, leaving you with a thinner, more contoured waistline and tighter skin in the area treated.

Week before treatment:

Avoid sun exposure and sunless tanning. Sunburned or tanned skin will not be treated.

All skin irritants must be stopped (glycolic/ salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol products such as Retin A, Tazorac, Triluma, Differin, and Vitamin C) on the area being treated

Advise staff when taking antibiotics. Certain antibiotics (Tetracycline, Doxycycline) can make a patient photosensitive, therefore, treatment may not be able to be done until two weeks after completion of the antibiotic.

Day before treatment:

Please let the staff know if you have a history of cold sores/fever blisters PRIOR to treatment, so an antiviral medication can be prescribed. Treatment can not be done if you have an active cold sore or skin infection and will be rescheduled.

If this is your first treatment, please arrive early  to your treatment to take photos and make sure consents are signed. Do not wear any make-up or moisturizers on the area being treated, however, we have cleaners that can be used for you to remove in the office. If a patient chooses to use a topical numbing (anaesthetic) cream or take an anti-anxiety medication, please arrive 45 minutes prior to treatment. Please purchase the topical anaesthetic PRIOR to treatment from our staff. Instructions will be given to the patient at the time of purchase to ensure proper application. Additionally, if you choose to take an anti-anxiety medication, we suggest that you have someone drive you home after your treatment.

We shall first cleans the target area. The area is then covered with an ultrasound gel.

The HIFU device is placed against the skin. Using an ultrasound viewer, we shall adjust the device to the right setting. Ultrasound energy is then delivered to the target area in short pulses for roughly 30 to 90 minutes. The device is removed. If additional treatments are needed, you will schedule the next treatment.

While the ultrasound energy is being applied, you might feel heat and tingling. You can take a pain medication if it’s bothersome.

Excellent results can normally be expected after just one HIFU skin lifting treatment. Additional treatments may be necessary if severe sagging, deep wrinkles, or other serious issues are present? If so, an additional treatment can be administered 8-12 months after the first.

HIFU may not be appropriate for everyone. If your skin is too young for the treatment, you might not see any changes to your skin.

Some face shapes might not be suitable to undertake a HIFU treatment.

When the ultrasound waves cause inflammation on our skin tissue, this inflamed tissue will send a signal to our collagen to let it know that the skin needs repairing and healing. Hence, with the help of the HIFU machine’s energy penetrating into the skin, it helps our internal collagen to boost up the speed to heal and repair our inflamed tissue. Through the regeneration process of collagen, it helps the skin to firm and tighten, thus eliminating the wrinkles.

Usually one can progressively see results up to 4 months but some up to 6 months.

Since the ultrasound beams are focused on a specific area/tissue below the skin’s surface, there are no damages done on the upper layer of the skin. You might see some redness on your skin due to the heat or some swelling, but it will subside rapidly.

If you are looking for a safe, quick, non-invasive procedure to tighten and lift your skin, HIFU is the best option compared to facelift and fillers.

Long Term

FAQ

As noted, excellent results can normally be expected after just one HIFU skin lifting treatment. Additional treatments may be necessary if severe sagging, deep wrinkles, or other serious issues are present? If so, an additional treatment can be administered 8-12 months after the first.

Minimal side effects result in some cases as follows:

  • Swelling or slight redness may occur, and if so, should quickly subside.
  • There may also be a slight sensitivity to touch and light tingling sensation, which can persist in some cases for a few weeks.
  • In rare instances, bruising and temporary local numbness may occur. These side effects usually disappear after a few days.

The High Intensity Focused Ultrasound therapy is a relatively new cosmetic, skincare procedure. However, many experts find its long – term results to be comparable to the old style, surgical skin lifting techniques, minus the recovery time, discomfort and other risks. It’s safe for all skin types, however, it generally works best for people over 30 with moderate skin conditions. Therefore, if you’d like to firm up and enliven your appearance, please read on as it is indeed possible with HIFU therapy.

The HIFU skin lifting treatment generates and circulates heat using ultrasound waves as directed to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Which in turn lifts and stretches the skin producing a highly visible, revitalizing, effect and more youthful appearance.

Many of the treatment protocols are backed by the approval of the US FDA, along with countless scientific research studies and case histories, which confirm its positive, long-term results.

A suitable candidate is someone who is aged 30+ who has noticed that the skin on their face or neck has become more lax and wishes to lift and tighten the relevant area. For patients in their 30s it is typically used to stimulate collagen production and hence help delay the ageing process. Patients in their 40s and 50s are the most common age group who have this treatment. It is also suitable for those aged 60+ provided the degree of laxity is not too great. It is also for those who have had surgery in the past to prolong the effects of surgical facelifts.

Clients may witness some initial effect, but ultimately lifting and firming will take place over approximately 3 months, as collagen is renewed and replaced with new, stronger collagen. As this collagen building process continues, continued improvements can appear for up to 6 months.

Most people do not report pain. There can be slight aching over bony areas or a warm sensation in the skin during treatment.

Thousands of treatments have been performed worldwide using HIFU technology without significant adverse events. In addition, ultrasound energy has been used safely in the field of medicine for more than 50 years.

Between 30-90 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.

There is normally no downtime or recovery time needed. Most people return to normal activities right away.

There may be slight redness following the treatment. A small amount of patient’s report swelling, tingling or tenderness to touch. All potential side effects will be discussed by the practitioner prior to treatment

Clinical studies and from our own treatment experiences, demonstrate that on average, clients lose up to an inch in the waist circumference (for some, this can mean down one dress size). Some clients have been known to lose more, while others achieved less.

There is no downtime procedure for body fat reduction. Most of the “recovery” happens unnoticed to the client, therefore there is no need to take time off work or stop your usual regime. We do recommend taking care straight after the procedure and of course not to consume any toxins, caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes and drink plenty of water after the procedure.

Our clients have been enjoying the improvements with only one treatment. To fully determined improvements from the first treatment we do not recommend another treatment for at least 9 to 12 months afterwards. By that time the second procedure can be planned and customised for better overall results and ensure they have got the most out of their initial treatment before proceeding with another in the same zone.

Clients for HIFU must have a minimum of over 2.6 cm of “pinchable or grabbable” fat. If you have less, then your fat layer will be rather thin, and the programmed treatment depth will treat other tissues and not fat. During the consultation, body areas will be examined and measured, and a customised treatment plan established to ensure it is safe and suitable to have the treatment.

Over the next few weeks & months, the body naturally removes the destroyed fat which is drained to the liver via your natural lymphatic channels and circulation, leaving the client with a thinner, more contoured waistline and tighter skin in the area treated.

No, the fat cells that are removed through the treatment will not come back, because adults have a limited number of fat cells, whatever is gone will not regenerate. However, the remaining fat cells still can expand  and contract, increase in size and decrease in size, depending on many factors such as diet, exercise, genetics, age and use of medications.

Did you know that many visible signs of aging can be traced back to volume loss? As facial tissues thin out, lines become etched around the nose and mouth and cheeks look a little hollow. Dermal fillers can replace lost volume to help smooth wrinkles, plump the lips, and restore a more youthful appearance.

Dermal filler is a highly effective cosmetic injectable treatment to enhance, lift, and contour your face, helping you to achieve a naturally, refreshed and revitalised look.

What can you expect upon booking with London Body Centre?

Following a consultation, we will check your medical history and suitability for dermal fillers treatment. Our trained practitioners will inject filler into the treatment area. Treatment usually takes around 45 minutes and you will be able to return to work from 0-24 hours with the perfect results.

Fortunately, today, you can reduce the signs and symptoms of aging by restoring the hyaluronic acid you’re losing. That’s exactly why the majority of dermal fillers available today feature hyaluronic acid.

This acid binds powerfully to water. Then, when it is injected, it hydrates, softens and volumizes your skin for a young, healthy look.

Another popular type of filler is a biostimulatory filler, which is also known to be effective. What’s so great about today’s hyaluronic acid and biostimulatory fillers is that they offer predictable and consistent results.

In addition, most fillers feature lidocaine, or lidocaine can be added to them. The benefit of lidocaine is that it significantly reduces the discomfort patients may feel when undergoing filler injections.

  • Immediate Results and No Downtime

One of the biggest benefits of using dermal fillers? They provide immediate results. Once you undergo a filler injection, you will notice your appearance transform soon thereafter.

On top of this, you don’t have to worry about recovery time like you would following plastic surgery. In fact, you can complete the filler treatment in just 10 minutes depending on the number of areas needing treatment. Then, you’re free to continue your daily errands or even go back to work.

In fact, a filler treatment is sometimes described as a “lunchtime facelift.” Talk about a life-changing lunch break.

The side affects you may experience as a result of your filler treatment are minimal. Just a little swelling or redness near your injection site is normal. Even then, this swelling and redness should disappear within several hours or one day. In the meantime, you can simply cover it up with makeup.

You may more commonly experience bruising, but you can typically avoid this by following your practitioner’s instructions prior to your filler treatment appointment.

  • Long-Lasting Effects

Yet another benefit of fillers is the lasting results you’ll enjoy after getting them.

In the majority of cases, you’ll stay looking more youthful and beautiful for about one year. However, you might want to go in for a quick touch-up appointment in four to six months following your initial treatment.

It’s in your best interest to maintain your filler results. You can do this simply by scheduling your next treatment before your filler has had the chance to metabolize completely.

  • Beneficial for the Skin

Most fillers feature a natural skin component that help the skin — a major plus for patients interested in getting filler injections.

Hyaluronic acid present in fillers are naturally occurring substances in the skin. Thus, when they are injected, they’ll feel natural beneath your skin.

It’s just another reason to love the skin you’re in after you get a filler treatment.

  • Subtle Results

If you choose to receive dermal fillers, you’ll also love how subtle and natural looking the results are. That’s exactly what you want if you’re like most patients.

After all, who honestly wants to look like a totally different individual after the treatment than he or she was before it? You simply want to be the best version of yourself.

With dermal fillers, the majority of people won’t even know what you had done. All they’ll notice is that you look amazing.

  • Self-Confidence Builder

This is a no-brainer when it comes to the life-changing advantages of dermal fillers.

People who receive fillers generally improve their self-confidence following their treatment. They simply love how their fillers look and feel. At the hands of an experienced aesthetic practitioner, you can achieve amazing natural looking results and love how you look like never before.

  • Plumpness

As you grow older, your skin will lose collagen and fat. In other words, you’ll lose your youthful plumpness.

Replacing the young, healthy look you’ve become accustomed to will be a hollowed-out look and more blatantly obvious wrinkles — clear signs of advancing age. Fortunately, fillers help to counteract these problems by making your skin plumper.

In the end, you’ll end up with fuller-looking cheeks as well as fewer facial wrinkles — You can’t beat that.

  • Botox Complements Them

Another perk of using fillers? Botox complements fillers perfectly!

As you get fillers, you might notice that a few of the wrinkles on your face are particularly deep — especially those on your forehead and glabella. Or maybe you notice vertical lip lines near your mouth.

In these situations, you may want to receive a Botox or Dysport treament. This product will temporarily reduce the muscle activity responsible for your deep wrinkles and frown lines. It’s perfect for tackling those lines and wrinkles that dermal fillers won’t eliminate.

With the powerful combination of fillers and Botox or Dysport, you may be able to delay or even avoid surgery, such as a facelift, down the road.

  • Good for Your Lips

Of course, fillers aren’t just good for filling in wrinkles and cheeks. Fillers can work wonders for your lips.

Tired of thin lips? Fillers can make your lips look plumper and sexier. At the same time, it’ll soften the appearance of annoying wrinkles around the mouth.

With dermal fillers, you can finally stop feeling self-conscious when it comes to your lips. In fact, your lips just might become your favorite feature.

Just be sure to get lip fillers with an experienced aesthetic practitioner to ensure yourself an experience that is safe and that yields natural looking results.

  • Say Goodbye to Scars

A major advantage of springing for fillers is that they can improve the appearance of scars.

This is a big deal if you’ve spent years applying makeup to hide unsightly scars as a result of acne, for example. Your practitioner can help you to determine if dermal fillers are an option for treating certain scars.

  • Boost Your Collagen

Last but not least, biostimulatory fillers, like Radiesse and Sculptra will stimulate the body’s natural collagen.

A major reason that your skin ages as you get older is that collagen production declines. This is accelerated if someone has a lot of sun damage.

Collagen is one of your skin’s essential building blocks. When collagen ends up breaking down, the signs of aging is more apparent. This includes having coarse skin texture and wrinkles.

Dermal fillers, however, can help your body stimulate more of its own collagen, just as a younger individual’s skin does. This translates to the younger, healthier-looking skin you’re after — in a natural way.

Dermal filler is a smooth injectable gel containing hyaluronic acid designed to replace the hyaluronic acid you have lost. It does this by filling the space of volume loss which improves folds and wrinkles, as well as attracting water to replenish moisture to your skin. It also has a biological effect on your own hyaluronic acid by encouraging it to increase collagen and elastin production which improves skin integrity and quality. Overall this restores a natural and youthful appearance.

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have to complete a medical history to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.

You will be advised to  buy and apply EMLA numbing cream to the area a min of 1 hour pre attending the treatment.

The procedure : Dermal filler is injected at precise locations into your skin. The doctor will then massage to smooth the product. During the procedure, you are fully awake. You will be given a mirror to hold to enable you to see the results as the doctor completes the treatment.

You should avoid touching or applying makeup on the treated area for 6 hours in order to prevent infection. Specific post treatment instructions will be given to you in advance of the treatment.

The results are immediate and last from 6-12 months. As the results are relatively temporary, adjustments can be made as your face changes over time and you will always retain a natural look.

FAQ

Dermal Fillers are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is a substance that naturally occurs in the dermis of the skin. It can be found in many beauty products, as it is a hydrophilic molecule, meaning that it attracts water. It can hold up to 1000 x its own weight in water making it an excellent hydrator. Some common brands of lip fillers are Restylane, Juvederm, Beloterol, Teosayal, Emervel now rebranded with Restylane, Perfectha etc. We do not use permanent lip fillers at the London Body Centre.

Fillers are a cosmetic treatment, and like all medical procedures, there is always a chance that something could go wrong. However, if performed by experienced and qualified practitioners, it is a safe procedure.

The legislation in the UK for those offering injectable treatments is practically non-existent. You can go to a plastic surgeon, a dermatologist, a cosmetic doctor, a dentist, a nurse, and even a chiropodist or a beautician or indeed anyone who advertises the treatment! Non-medical practitioners definitely will not be able to look after you or prescribe if anything unexpected happens. What’s more, qualified experienced practitioners will be able to use an enzyme to dissolve the filler should that be advised.

At London Body Centre cosmetic doctors and aesthetic nurses have been providing lip filler treatments for many years, are all qualified and very experienced with dermal filler treatments.

All injectable aesthetic procedures should be performed in a clinical setting with aseptic techniques. We do not believe hairdressing salons or gyms or someone’s home offer this clinical standard.

It might be difficult to believe from the horror stories out there, but dermal filler treatment is not that painful. Of course, the discomfort level will mostly depend on your doctor’s technique and your own pain tolerance.

At London Body Centre, we suggest you apply a strong numbing cream such as EMLA min of 1 hour pre the treatment.

The Dermal filler even has a dose of the painkiller lidocaine mixed in the gel, which will further help to numb the area.

The treatment itself involves injections using very fine needles to introduce the filler into the desired area. Therefore, some pin-point bleeding is to be expected. This stops very quickly.

At London Body Centre, you will have a thorough consultation with the doctor or nurse first to review your medical history and assess your suitability for the lip filler treatment. We listen to your concerns and what you are looking to achieve from the treatment. We will then discuss treatment options and agree a treatment plan with you.

A tiny needle is placed into the area to give the desired results. Some gentle moulding is done as part of the treatment. The process usually takes around 20mins. There is usually some swelling after the treatment; this can be reduced with the application of an ice pack. We may ask you to do this for a few minutes after the treatment.

Initially, there is some swelling and the lips may feel bigger than you would like. However, please bear in mind that the swelling will soon go down to reveal the final result. This usually takes a week to 2 weeks but can take longer. We may advise you to apply arnica cream to reduce bruising but it also helps to hydrate the lips as the swelling settles. Occasionally, you may be able to feel the lip filler, in which case gentle massage may be helpful. We are always here to support you after the treatment so anything you are concerned about, you can always return for review. We have seen many cases of lip filler treatments, which have been done at other places that have resulted in visible beads like lumps in the lips. This is not normal and is due to poor technique! The filler should not end up as lumpy nodules in the lips. It should be integrated softly into the lips. Similarly for the smoker’s lines, the filler should give a reduction in the lines without producing speed bumps above the lips!

This varies depending on the product used, the amount of lip filler used and the injector’s technique. There is always some degree of swelling which naturally resolves over a week or two. Application of ice post treatment helps to reduce swelling.

Lip fillers at London Body Centre are only carried out by qualified but even more importantly very experienced doctors and nurses who have been providing this treatment for many years. Your lips should be fuller and smoother without the appearance of lumps inside the lips or above the lips.

The HA lip filler gel will last at least 6 months according to the manufacturer’s literature. However in reality, we have found that lip filler treatments have lasted much longer, in some cases well over 12 months at London Body Centre Please remember when the initial swelling goes down, you may mistake that for the filler not lasting. In these cases, if you prefer the fuller look, another treatment session will help to achieve that.

Botox

Botox

Botulinum toxin is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the underlying muscles. People also use Botox to treat excessive sweating, migraines, muscular disorders. Botox is actually the trade name for a substance injected into the skin which is known to inhibit muscle movement, and that can prevent wrinkles from developing or worsening. The name ‘Botox’ actually comes from the word ‘botulous’ – which means sausage.

Botox injections are now one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world and there is a plethora of celebs who are rumoured as swearing by youth-keeping injections. While it is immensely popular for aesthetic purposes, Botox is actually pretty handy for other conditions too, including stopping excessive sweat.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Botox is the most popular cosmetic surgery treatment – with over a whopping six million Botox treatments administered every year. Botox is a neurotoxin derived from Clostridium botulinum – an organism found in the natural environment where it is pretty much inactive and non-toxic.

The idea of getting naked from the waist down in front of a complete stranger so they can rip hairs out of your intimate area is not anyone’s idea of fun. However, no pain, no gain! Feeling clean and smooth without the uncomfortable shaving rash is definitely worth it.

Cosmetic Botox injections work by blocking the nerve signals to certain muscles. The muscles then become more relaxed. This reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the skin.

We offer a free consultation and skin analysis with your initial appointment. Everyone’s skin is different, so our therapist will take great care to tailor your treatment to your needs. You will have a patch test to ensure we can produce the safest, most effective results for your skin type.

Botox is a relatively safe treatment, but it should always be undertaken by a qualified medical professional to ensure that you are getting the correct amount in the right area.

You shouldn’t have botulinum injections if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, since the effects on the baby aren’t known.

Local anaesthetic isn’t usually needed. Your skin is cleaned, and small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected into the muscles of the face to be treated.

Several injections are usually needed at different sites. It takes about 10 minutes. The injections may be a little painful. Most people tolerate the discomfort well.

Botox freezes muscle movement by blocking neuro-transmitters and this effect lasts for 4-6 months – this means you will need top-ups a few times a year if you wish to maintain your line-free look.

Once you’ve had Botox injected, the effects on the muscles usually become apparent within three to five days before the injections take effect, and up to two weeks for the full effect to be seen.

Avoid massaging or rubbing the treated areas for up to three days.

The effects generally last for about four to six months. If you want to maintain the effect, you’ll need regular follow-up injections.

FAQ

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 7.2 million unique injections of Botox and similar brands Dysport and Xeomin were administered in 2017, making it the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment in the nation by far. In comparison, it outranked the runner-up (dermal fillers) by nearly 4.5 million treatments. On the world stage, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons also ranks Botox-type injections as the number one non-surgical procedure on the market today, with these treatments comprising nearly half of all injectables recorded in 2016.

As a non-invasive treatment, your risks of developing an infection or other complication from a Botox injection are slim to none. The active ingredient in Botox, botulinum toxin A, can sound scary — but it’s simply a naturally-occurring protein that is known for its muscle-relaxing properties, and the trace amounts present in each Botox injection are carefully controlled and extremely well-researched. You can lower your risks even further by fully informing your plastic surgeon of any possible conflicting medications or health concerns, or by asking that they use the lowest possible dose until you feel more comfortable with your treatments.

As an FDA-approved substance, Botox is under strict regulation and monitoring to ensure every vial is produced in a sterile environment with exact amounts of each ingredient. From purified air in the production area to full-coverage suits for the safety and sterility of the trained technicians, the environment in which Botox is produced guarantees quality control. Plus, Allergan, Botox’s parent company, has a dedicated quality assurance department and consistently exceeds FDA guidelines for drug manufacturing safety and cleanliness.

When Botox is administered by a properly trained professional, your results will be absolutely natural and won’t interfere with your facial expressions. The key to creating beautiful results from Botox is knowing where to place each injection and what dosage to use in each location. Since Botox is such a popular procedure, nearly any certified provider of aesthetic services will be able to give you the look you want without the dreaded facial freeze. When you choose Botox, make sure you schedule your treatment with a reputable and licensed provider like a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist.

Botox is most effective at treating wrinkles caused by overused muscles becoming stuck in a certain expression. Make a worried face or raise your eyebrows — if you see vertical lines appear between your eyebrows or horizontal lines across your forehead, these can eventually form into wrinkles if you make this kind of expression frequently. The active ingredient in Botox, botulinum toxin type A, is a muscle relaxant — when Botox is injected into your facial muscles, any built-up tension that results in wrinkles is released, allowing your skin to settle into a smoother texture.

Botox is currently approved to treat much more than just wrinkles. It can treat muscle spasms in the limbs, neck or face; eye twitches or uneven eye positioning; underarm sweat; migraines and bladder dysfunction, to name a few other uses. While it remains most popular as a cosmetic treatment, doctors and scientists are always investigating the properties of botulinum toxin and finding ways to use it to treat a variety of other health conditions.

Since Botox is administered with just a short series of injections, your Botox appointment will typically last no longer than 30 minutes. Botox also does not cause lingering visual side effects like redness or swelling, so you will be able to return to your daily activities immediately after your session. You can make a Botox appointment on your lunch break, after Saturday brunch or even on your way to get the kids from school. The only time that plastic surgeons recommend avoiding Botox is immediately before or after exercising — heightened blood pressure can interfere with your results.

After nearly two decades of use, Botox research and clinical trials have been published in top medical and science journals hundreds of times over. Expert plastic surgeons everywhere are always searching for better or different ways to use Botox treatments. It is being studied as a treatment for depression, muscle pain and postoperative atrial fibrillation, among others. In fact, researchers led by Dr. Corey Maas at The Maas Clinic have recently been investigating the botulinum toxin treatment Xeomin to determine dosage limits for longer-lasting results. The future of Botox and botulinum toxin injections is sure to bring many more improvements to light.

Symmetrical and full lips are a feature of youthful attractiveness. Lips reach their fullness around our early twenties. As we age, natural substances that provide the skin with structure and volume, such as collagen and hyaluronic acid, decrease. This, along with environmental factors such as exposure to sun damage, smoking, etc., all contributes to how our lips age and form wrinkles. Over time the corners of the mouth also begin to droop resulting in the mouth frown. The shape of the upper lip known as the Cupid’s bow begins to flatten out and we start to lose the appearance of having full lips and volume.

The pen works with spring and piston, which allow, under pressure, quick and even delivery of serum /Hyaluronic Acid/ under the skin through a hole with a diameter of 0.17 mm, which is two times smaller than the needle thickness for injection. Serums are absorbed much better and faster than with the introduction of a needle.

One of the reasons the procedure is simple and the substance inserted into the skin is safe is that the human body produces the exact same acid, that is actually composed of two sugars (Glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine).

Hyaluronic Acid exists in the human body (joints, eyeballs, skin). Hyaluronic Acid produced by the body itself exists in the Epidermis and Dermis layers of the skin and one of its main functions is to keep water inside the skin tissue (being part of the collagen fibre network in Dermis).  The more Hyaluronic Acid there is inside the Epidermis and more importantly the Dermis layer of the skin, the more water is retained in the skin, the more moist it is and the more youthful it looks.

Leading up to your appointment, you should read up all the information London Body centre has sent and be prepared fully. We request that you do not attend the appointment with heavy makeup on.

There are certain medications we suggest you not to take within the 48 h before the procedure. These are for example Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve and also other painkillers. Also, we suggest you avoid medications that have any other strong effect on your body.

It would be simply perfect if you would not have any sort of drink within the 48h before the procedure. In case you have consumed a larger amount of alcohol on the night before the procedure we suggest you move the appointment to the next day.

In case you are using products that contain a significant amount of Retin A (tretinoin) we suggest you cut down the usage of those one week before the procedure. This, however, concerns the facial area only. Basically, when you know when your appointment time is coming up, just cut down using these products on the area of the treatment. That also concerns products that contain a significant amount of A-vitamin. Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or hair removal cream on the area to be treated for 3 days prior.

This concerns the week before the procedure. We suggest you avoid skincare products that contain Alpha-hydroxy-acid. In addition to that, we also suggest you cut down the usage of anti-aging products on your possible treatment area two weeks prior to the appointment. Also, if you are taking one or many of the following medications, you should take a break one week before the treatment: Primrose oil, Garlic, Ginko Biloba, Ginseng or Vitamin E.

Total prep and procedure time is between 15 minutes and 1 hour.

The Hyaluronic Pen will be used to deposit Hyaluronic Acid Filler into the epidermal and upper dermal layers of the skin without traditional needles or injections.   Ideal for clients that are frightened or uncomfortable with needles, this pain free treatment is less invasive and fast, and allows clients to plump and fill their lips, fine lines, and wrinkles. Through the pressure technology the pen uses pressure which causes the Hyaluronic Acid to turn into NanoScale molecules and inserts the Hyaluronic acid Filler through the skin. The Diameter of this flow is 0.17 mm, twice as small as the smallest insulin needle.  The mixture used is Hyaluronic acid.

We will use the Hyaluronic Pen to create volume, shape and lift. Treatment areas include: Lips, nasolabial lines, marionette lines, 11 lines, forehead wrinkles. Perfect for lip augmentations and reducing wrinkles.

The Hyaluronic Acid only reaches the papillary layer of the dermis making this a safe treatment with no risk of occlusion as well as no sharp tips to puncture blood vessels.

It is considered effective in lip enlargement, reducing wrinkles, and building up skin elasticity. Ideal results can be achieved in one session, a few procedures may be necessary for the fuller lip look. Hyaluron Pen can give the same results as standard dermal filler injections.

  • Hyaluron Pen is not invasive, requiring no downtime and is considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. The procedure isn’t safe for people who use certain heart medications or for women who are pregnant. FAQ

No, it is not like Botox. First, Botox is not a filler and it is never injected into lips (however, sometimes some client truly believe that it is). As one should know Botox just temporarily cuts off the nerve signals to some muscles and thus limits the movements of those, achieving smoother skin as the wrinkles are now deepened by muscle movement. When it comes to Hyaluron Pen, it delivers exceptionally low viscosity, low elasticity filler into lips or facial skin. Two totally different tools that can sometimes solve the same problem. Is one better than the other? Well, not necessarily. As we all just know, injecting Botox can be a way more dangerous, if the person is not an absolute professional who has enough medical and aesthetic beauty intervention background.

No, Compared to countless beauty procedures that act as ‘vitamins’ making something a little bit of better, Hyaluron Pen is a ‘penicillin’ type of solution. The client has a problem and Hyaluron Pen solves it elegantly. Some concrete examples? Small and thin lips – usually with a 0.5 ml – 1 ml the problem is solved. Same applies to wrinkles. Heavy and deep smile lines propose a problem – simple. Hyaluron Pen provides a solution that works – wrinkles disappear. Thus in this sense, we can be talking about a concrete problem solver not just another one of those “enhancing” solutions that definitely make something a little bit better, however, does not solve the true problem. When you want a change that can clearly be seen, then we absolutely suggest, you opt in for the Hyaluron Pen.

Those two also are a very different beast. When it comes to overall vitalizing of the facial skin, Hyaluron Pen can do a pretty good job. When it comes to wrinkles, it has limitations regarding very superficial wrinkles (caused by the movement of muscles) or very deep wrinkles (usually in the facial skin of truly old clients). With the most common depth according to various wrinkle-rating scales, the Hyaluron Pen does a pretty good job. We can definitely say that the principle technique of increasing the HA contents of the skin works better than rather superficial treatments. And that all concerns just the removal of wrinkles. When it comes to filling the lips, Plasma pen is pretty much useless, and Hyaluron Pen dominates totally.

Well, as a matter of fact, those two belong in different universes that overlap only a tiny bit (even though the part those overlap is blowing out greatly at the moment). Namely, fillers are injections that can have a large effect on the overall look of the human face. The thicker the filler is, the deeper it is injected and the larger and usually also permanent the effect is. When it comes to Hyaluron Pen the fillers that can be used are very liquid and can only be inserted to the upper layer of dermis – Papillary dermis. This means that it only competes with a small category of HA fillers that do the same thing. Whilst being limited when it comes to deeper or subnormal injections (where filler injections are used to achieve results), Hyaluron Pen pretty much dominates in its own category because of its ease of use.

A natural sugar found in the human body, hyaluronic acid is the most hydrating substance in the world.  It’s function is to attract water and keep skin hydrated, plump and youthful.  As the human body creates Hyaluronic Acid naturally it is impossible to be allergic to it. As we age, the body decreases the amount of Hyaluronic Acid and collagen fibers. They dry up and become thinner, resulting in loss of hydration and elasticity. This causes skin to sag and wrinkles to form. By adding hyaluronic acid into the skin we revive the collagen and promote a fresher, plumper effect. Hyaluronic Acid is the main structural element of connective tissue.

BE PREPARED FOR LITTLE REDNESS. Better safe than sorry, they say :) Yes, although there is very very rarely any serious redness we still suggest you prepare for some redness and/or minimum swelling on your lip area or facial skin, that may occur just after the procedure. Different types of skin react differently to the procedure so just keep that in mind when making plans for the next couple of hours after the Hyaluron Pen treatment appointment.

Build volume of the Lips, Wrinkles reduction, Fine lines reduction, No Pain, Natural results, Fast treatment, No downtime.

It’s non-invasive, requiring no downtime and considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. Like all cosmetic procedures, Hyaluron Pen isn’t without risk. The most common side effect is minor skin irritation immediately following the procedure.; bleeding, bruising, redness, infection.

No – Hyaluronic fillers do not stimulate collagen production at all; they just temporarily enter the skin and are then absorbed. Therefore, fillers used with Hyaluron Pen should be called non-permanent.

  1. One of the reasons the procedure is simple and the substance inserted into the skin is safe is that the human body produces the exact same acid, that is actually composed of two sugars (Glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine).

If you are; pregnant, have certain skin diseases, such as psoriasis or eczema, prone to cold sores, have open wounds, take certain heart medications, are allergic to aesthetics (Lidocain), have had radiation therapy recently, suffer from keloid scarring.

Hyaluron Pen is not invasive, requiring no downtime and is considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. The procedure isn’t safe for people who use certain heart medications or for women who are pregnant. You will experience minor redness and maybe swelling for a few days after the procedure.

Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

Excess fat in stubborn areas can be an issue for many men and women, despite exercise and a good diet. These fatty areas sometimes just do not want to budge, but the likes of liposuction may seem too extreme a solution. That is when Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections can help!

An alternative to liposuction is Aqualyx Lipotherapy: a fat removal therapy which reduces stubborn fat deposits in notoriously tricky areas such as the stomach, outer and inner thighs, and the chin area. It works by attaching to fatty deposits, breaking them down over time. The fat is then naturally dissolved and flushed out by the body. Results are effective, quick, and minimally invasive.

A solution is injected into the localised deposits of tissue into areas which liquefies the fat cell and destroys it permanently. The lipids (contents of the fat cells) are then released and eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

Aqualyx is made up from several different plant-based compounds that have been refined in a lab environment. Aqualyx dissolves the membranes of fat cells in the treated area. The fat cells become unstable and break open. The fatty acids contained within the cell are then eliminated by macrophages (part of the body’s immune system) and the liver.

AQUALYX typically requires a course of two to four treatments with four to six-week intervals between each session. Although the procedure does not hurt, you should expect some swelling which can take up to three weeks to subside. Although the fat doesn’t come back, AQUALYX should only be used as a supplement to a healthy lifestyle and is only intended for dealing with small pockets of fat rather than for providing a complete weight loss solution.

Unlike liposuction, AQUALYX normally leads to a degree of skin contraction too, so you are less likely to end up with loose skin around the areas which have been treated.

What we offer at London Body Centre

These fat dissolving injections cause cell lysis. Interestingly, it is non-selective, meaning it lyses all cells. However, it has a greater affinity for fatty tissue than protein tissue, so fat tissue is more susceptible to break down. It prompts a mild inflammation in the skin afterwards, which helps clear the cellular debris.

There are few ways to solve the problem of small pockets of fat. The presence of fat is regarded as a sign of ageing in the lower face. Even with weight loss and exercise, some people cannot achieve the jawline they desire due to hereditary reasons, and with age, this fat compartment becomes fuller. Plain liposuction in the area will remove the fat, but does not give significant tightening to the tissues, and there can be a concern of seeing the platysma muscle bands through the skin following treatment. Fat dissolving injections are an easy, non-invasive way to decrease this fat, while tightening the skin. This treatment does not change facial movement in any way.

Aqualyx® is used to ‘dissolve’ stubborn pockets of fat which remain resistant to diet or exercise.

The Aqualyx® treatment is suitable for tackling areas around the face and the body. For example, areas that may be treated which include:

Abdomen

Hips

Thighs

Knees

Buttocks

Upper arm

Double chin

Jawline and many more

Aqualyx is based on a formulation containing deoxycholic acid. This is a secondary bile acid which the body naturally produces to liquefy the fat in the gut.

Aqualyx injections liquefy the fat cells, destroying them permanently and releasing lipids which are then expelled by the body through the lymphatic drainage system.

This is not a weight loss treatment or an alternative to diet and exercise; but Aqualyx® injections are very helpful in refining body shape by tackling those areas that are stubborn.

The human body is designed to store fat in certain areas as an ‘emergency ration’. Fat cells in the deep subcutaneous tissue are difficult to diminish. Aqualyx® literally reduces the amount of fat cells in those areas most resistant to toning.

Make sure you’ve allowed for enough downtime after the procedure. If you’re having the neck treated, you may wish to bring a scarf with you. Be aware that, for the best results, more than one treatment is necessary.

It’s important that any treatment is performed after a consultation, to make sure it’s right for you. If you’re having the neck treated, then a picture will be taken of you in 3D to visualise your neck from all angles. If you are having a body area treated, then a photo will be taken of the specific part for your medical records. Your skin is then cleaned, and the product is mixed with local anaesthesia. We then inject the area with a fine needle to introduce the product. Some massage is then applied, and you’re done. For the best results, you’ll need between two and eight treatments, depending on the size of the area treated. Most common is two to three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart. Due to the formation of new collagen as a result of the inflammation of this treatment, skin tightening procedures are not necessary afterwards.

Immediately after treatment you may appear red and swollen with some bruising on the treated area. Aqualyx works by causing an inflammatory reaction in the fat cells which can result in swelling for 3-5 days. Therefore, if you intend to have a facial treatment, e.g. double chin where the swelling may be obvious, you may wish to organise time away from work or social engagements.

You will be able to reduce the swelling by using a cool pack wrapped in a clean cloth for a maximum of 20 minutes each day.  You cannot use anti-inflammatory tablets for 48 hours after treatment as this will work against the treatment. The treated area may feel tender and firm for up to 8 weeks post treatment.

During recovery we recommend that you avoid:

  • Swimming pools, spas and saunas for 3 days.
  • Physical exercise for 10 days.
  • Any other aesthetic treatments for 2 weeks.

Aqualyx was developed by Professor Pasquale Motolese, Vice President of the Italian Society of Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine who presented it at the Aesthetic Medical International Congress in Milan in 2004.

Aqualyx has been given CE approval for use in the UK which means it meets the health and safety standards required by the European Union. Since 2009 Aqualyx has been used in over 2 million treatments in over 49 countries. It has a strong safety record supported by sound medical science

Aqualyx is not suitable if you:

  • Have diabetes.
  • Have liver or kidney disease.
  • Have active skin problems in the area to be treated.
  • Are taking blood thinning medicine e.g warfarin.

The number of Aqualyx treatments required varies depending on the size of the fatty deposit. Typically 1-3 treatments for small areas, such as the jowls and under the chin, and 2-8 treatments for larger areas such as the thighs. Treatments are spaced at 6 weekly intervals. Your result will show 6 weeks after your final treatment which is when you will have a complimentary review with your practitioner.

Whilst the body can regenerate fat cells – the process is very slow. So once fat cells are removed from a localised area your results are as good as permanent. However, if you do not continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle then your body will put on weight in other areas of your body where fat cells remain.

FAQ

No, AQUALYX is classified as a medical device.

When injected into fatty tissue, it disrupts the membrane of fat cells, leading to cell breakdown. There’s also an inflammatory response and some tissue contraction.

Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid, and is used in the body for emulsification of fats before absorption into the intestine. It is also used as an emulsifier in the food industry.

Yes, it contains no compounds from humans or animals.

Yes, many men have fat-dissolving injections to improve their neck contour and jawline, or to deal with small pockets of abdominal fat for example.

There are unfortunately no topical creams which are capable of giving the same level of fat loss or skin contraction.

The area of fat underneath the chin (otherwise known as the submental fat) is the most common area to treat, as it’s a troubling area with few other options for treatment. Other common areas would be the bra fat or small pockets of fat anywhere on the body: abdomen, below the buttocks, inner and outer thighs, hips, and upper arms. It can even be used on lipomas.

This treatment is not intended for weight loss. It is for people with localised pockets of fat which are not responsive to diet or exercise. It is intended to improve and alter the contour of the body. It is important that the area treated has a good blood supply, and it’s not suitable for those who have large overhangs of tissue. Ideally, areas treated would be no larger than the palm of the hand.

If you’re prone to bruising, you may wish to use arnica. Swelling is going to occur, so please be prepared for this.

Not especially, because the fluid is mixed with local anaesthesia, so the area is numbed. Most people report afterwards that the area looks sore; however, the vast majority of people do not report any pain.

The treatment begins to work immediately. However, there is a lot of swelling for the first week or so (it looks very swollen like a bullfrog for about a week or so). Some people report that their swelling does not completely disappear for four to six weeks post treatment. This is all part of the process, and is to be anticipated. There is no way to speed up this process, and in fact this inflammation helps to give the best results, by causing tissue contraction.

You’d probably not want to return to work after this treatment, due to the swelling. Many patients have this procedure performed just before the weekend, so they have a couple of days’ downtime before returning to work. You might not feel like exercising for a week after the procedure if the neck has been treated, although in the case of other areas you may feel fine after a few days.

This treatment is not approved for use during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.

It is better to wait until any swelling is completely gone between your AQUALYX appointments. This usually takes around 6 weeks to completely go.

Fat reduction is permanent, for the fat cells are destroyed; they don’t come back. Of course, if more weight is gained, then the fatty appearance will return, but in proportion with the new shape gained.

Complications with this treatment are very rare but can include bruising, pain and itching, as well as inflammatory issues which may become permanent.

Hyaluronisade Dermal Filler Dissolving

Hyaluronidase Dermal Filler Dissolving

Hyaluronidase is an enzyme (compounded by special pharmacies) that causes hydrolysis (breakdown) of hyaluronic acid. It is often referred to as a reversal agent for hyaluronic acid-based fillers. When the enzyme is injected it dissolves the synthetic hyaluronic acid filler, leaving your own intact.

Have your fillers gone wrong? Many patients come to us from other practices or mobile providers describing ‘wonky lips’, ‘trout pout’, unevenness, ‘duck lips’ or other ghastly lumps, bumps and nasties following their dermal filler treatment.

Hyalase is an enzyme that dissolves fillers of all types.  It can be used to correct poor aesthetic outcomes, lumpy results and is also the first line treatment in a vascular complication due to filler emergency. You may have heard people say they’ve had their lips dissolved or had the fillers taken out.  They will be referring to Hyalase treatment. Hyalase is a great product which can remedy many poor outcomes, but it must be prescribed by a qualified medical professional with a prescribers’ license.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Hyalase not only dissolves lip fillers and dermal fillers, it also dissolves the surrounding tissues!

It should only be used in cases where:

There is a suspected vascular complication

Too much filler has been used and is damaging tissue or compressing vessels

Too much filler is compressing nerves and causing loss of sensation

Blood flow is being obstructed by filler treatment

It’s best to come along for a consultation and speak to the  doctor, because you might not even need hyalase to fix things and there may be a less invasive method that could produce a better result that you’re happy with.

There are many risks associated with Hyalase.  It’s bovine origin (made from bull’s testicles) means it contains animal protein which many people are allergic to.  You will  be allergy tested before treatment to avoid life-threatening consequences.

Hyalase is a treatment of last resort and the laissez-faire attitude of some practitioners towards this product is alarming.

Sometimes when filler goes wrong there are more serious consequences.  Patients can get infections, severe bruising and suffer blocked veins and arteries resulting in the tissue literally dying and rotting on your face.

These types of filler emergencies can often be avoided, and you must be able to separate the common side effects of filler from medical complications requiring emergency assistance.

Common side effects of Dermal filler

Common side-effects include bruising, bleeding and swelling, which will usually get better on their own.

Infections from dermal filler are thankfully rare but can be very serious so need to be treated immediately.

Nodules, lumps and bumps can occur, either immediately after filler or after some time has passed.

Allergies to fillers are extremely uncommon.  But allergy to latex gloves is much more common and many unlicensed practitioners will still be using latex gloves or not using gloves at all!

Allergy to hyalase is more likely and you must be allergy tested before it is used to avoid the possibility of an allergic reaction

Vascular complications and blindness can occur and must be treated as a medical emergency (see vascular complications above)

Uneven results and poor aesthetic results are common and may require treatment (see above)

Pain at the treatment site can occur postoperatively but increasing pain may be a sign of infection and should be investigated.

You will have an in depth consultation. Here will be paperwork to be filled out and there will be a patch test.

At London Body we shall have a face to face consultation prior to proceeding with this treatment. It really is a last resort treatment.

The area of concern shall be cleaned and prepared. Hyalase shall be injected in small amounts in the area and slowly massaged in to encourage the breakdown of the filler.

Bruising and swelling post-treatment are common. When injected, hyaluronidase has an immediate working effect on HA in tissue. It is known to have a half-life of around two minutes, however, its duration of action is longer at around 48 hours.

Hyaluronidase works very quickly, with most of the effect taking place within 24 hours. You should be able to see defined improvement and less filler in the area injected, beginning within a few hours. After a few days if you still have areas that need correction.

Hyaluronidase should not negatively impact your natural tissue. However, it can take a series of treatments to dissolve filler.

Hyaluronidase is used together with fluids injected into the body to treat dehydration. Hyaluronidase can also be used as an aid in helping your body absorb other injected medications. Hyaluronidase is also used to help contrast dyes in your body show more clearly on certain types of x-rays or scans.

What are the side effects of hyaluronidase?

  • Blurred vision.
  • dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position.
  • fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse.
  • nausea or vomiting.
  • redness of the skin.
  • swelling.
  • unusual tiredness or weakness.
  • unusually warm skin.

FAQ

Hyaluronidase does not destroy your own tissue in any way. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme (found naturally in your body that breaks hyaluronic acid (HA) down.  Hyaluronidase will remove the filler 100% if you place it on or as close as possible to the injected filler.

Hyaluronidase may be reconstituted with either saline or water for injection (Hyalase SPC). Saline is less painful on injection and is recommended for this reason. Although unlicensed for this purpose, bacteriostatic saline is often preferred for its additional anaesthetic properties

Hyaluronidase is used to dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers that have been placed incorrectly, excessively, or unevenly. It is injected into the same locations that the filler already is. It does not remove all the filler entirely and not all filler brands.

Although Hyaluronidase is a pesky enzyme that breaks down collagen in the skin. When injected, it breaks down the Hyaluronic acid filler in the skin, while not dissolving natural tissue.

Hyaluronidase loses its effect in dermis and subcutaneous tissue within 3-6 hours after the injection and successful engraftment of reinjected HA filler can be accomplished 6 hours after the injection.

For patients with this issue it is important that they are on a course of antibiotics prior to dissolving the filler. If the filler is dissolved while it’s infected, the infection will spread as the hyaluronidase breaks it down.

Three days. Discomfort and swelling immediately following the Hyaluronidase, which can last for two or three days. An immediate allergic reaction to the injection with immediate redness and swelling, which can precipitate a more generalised allergic response if not detected and treated rapidly.

As a prescription only medication (POM), it should only be administered following a face-to-face consultation with the prescriber.

Six to 12 months. Hyaluronic fillers can take six to 12 months to dissolve on their own, this is down to an enzyme in the body called Hyaluronidases which are a family of enzymes that catalyse the degradation of hyaluronic acid.

Laser Lipo

The procedure uses a laser to successfully ‘melt’ unwanted fat on the face and body, and then either allows to body to metabolise the melted fat or uses ‘aspiration’, a form of suction that permits the practitioner to remove greater quantities of fat.

Because you are awake during the procedure, there are fewer risks involved than with traditional liposuction, which is often done under general anaesthetic. Laser lipo is not a weight loss treatment and is not suited to people who are significantly overweight, it is better for those with small localised areas of stubborn fat. The results give rise to a more harmonious body shape in a short time, without the bruising and swelling of more aggressive procedures.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Anyone who has unwanted, stubborn areas of fat may be a candidate for laser lipolysis. The ideal candidate should be at, or close to, their healthy body weight and have realistic expectations of what the treatment can achieve. People who have a significant amount of weight to lose or are obese are not suitable for this treatment as it is intended to contour and shape the body rather than provide significant weight loss. Pregnant women are also not suitable for this treatment.

Laser lipolysis is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat from fiber-optic lasers at various wavelengths to melt body fat. This is a different process than liposuction, which involves removing fat from the body using vacuum suction. The added benefit of laser lipolysis is that it spurs the production of the protein collagen, making skin more taut.

Clinical results were drawn from the laser lipolysis and liposuction procedures of more than 2,000 patients over a three-year span. Researchers found that patients overall lost significant fat bulk in different parts of the body and saw an increase in skin tightness. Patients didn’t suffer from any major complications, though some complained of minor pain and bruising.

Leading up to your appointment, you should drink plenty of water. For all stomach area treatments please ensure you have visited the Lavatory pre-treatment.

Your technician will have a consultation with you pre-treatment to ensure correct paperwork has been completed and all questions answered.

During treatment your technician will mark on your body with pen the areas to be targeted.

They will then fit a custom applicator pattern to fit your body and target the right area.

You will then be asked to lie down on a bed to fit the applicators on to your body. The applicators will be secured into the pattern to rest on the body part that is being treated. The Laser Lipo machine will then be turned on and treatment will begin.

When the treatment starts you will feel a cooling sensation that helps keep your skin comfortable throughout the treatment. The first four minutes of the treatment is the build phase.

After these few minutes you will feel alternating sensations of deep warmth and cooling as the lasers start to destroy your cells. Treatment is typically approx 30 mins.

You can expect to lose up to a fist-sized amount of fat from the treated area by the time treatment is completed. You can usually start to see results in 6-8 weeks. The results are more dramatic and immediate where several treatments take place within 2 weeks of one another.

The heat from the laser can also help tighten the skin so you may instantly feel more toned.

For years now, liposuction has remained one of the top cosmetic procedures performed in the UK. Between 2015 and 2017, the number of lipo procedures increased by 16.3%, or a jump of 363,912 treatments. Yet in addition to surgery, there is a new treatment that is reshaping bodies and melting fat: laser liposuction.

This weight loss procedure isn’t as well-known as its surgical counterpart, but it can be just as beneficial to those who want to shed a bit of unwanted weight. Here are three surprising facts about this treatment that you may not have heard before.

  • Laser lipo isn’t like the traditional procedure

When most people hear the word “liposuction,” they tend to think of an invasive surgery that can take a long time to recover from. However, laser lipo isn’t the same as the procedures of old. Laser liposuction uses lasers and absorbs about 90% of the water in fat anywhere the patient chooses to get the procedure done. In addition to liposuction with lasers, there is also laser cellulite removal for those who want to target specific areas of the body.

  • Laser lipo may save you some money compared with surgical liposuction

How much does liposuction cost? While the price of either procedure can vary depending on where it’s performed and how comprehensive the treatment will be, a typical liposuction procedure can cost nearly £10,000, according to Harley Street.  Because laser lipo is an outpatient treatment, the cost is considerably less.

  • All liposuction procedures require diet and exercise post-treatment

Liposuction patients are three times more likely to gain weight if they don’t eat healthy, and they’re four times as likely to put on weight if they don’t exercise. Maintaining that weight loss after lipo means following a healthy lifestyle with good eating and exercise habits.

Yes, laser like treatments are completely non-invasive, and clients feel nothing. The paddles low level laser like technology has been studied and used for over 30 years for many biomedical purposes.

12.25 inches AVERAGE–the most lost in 18 sessions is 23 inches. People who make major lifestyle changes, are on the higher end of the average, and those who don’t, the lower end.

For the procedure, 3 sessions a week for 3-6 weeks, 45 min per session. You relax in a comfortable position, while a trained technician places two multi-laser paddles and two smaller paddles to the target areas. Then lay back, relax, read, or whatever you like. Then you go to the vibrating platform for exercise and lymphatic drainage.

That fat can be burned as energy in the body, or normal metabolic processing—just like when you exercise and release fat.

INDICATIONS OF VACUUM THERAPY

The vacuum therapy is indicated for the following cases:

  • Localized treatment obesity
  • Cellulite treatment
  • Treatment of fibrosis after lipo
  • Buttock Lift
  • Breast lift
  • Body shaping

The Buttock lift without surgery is a new and exclusive technique of evolution MD, this procedure is noninvasive, no fat injection is needed, and this is not the Brazilian butt lift. Buttock lift without the surgery is done by combining two procedures:

Vacuum therapy: To lift the buttocks with the suctioning of the glass that will be placed on the buttocks cheeks

Buttock augmentation BENEFITS WITHOUT SURGERY

  • Enlarges and firms the buttocks and breasts without surgery.
  • It increases flexibility of the skin.
  • Improves venous and lymphatic flow.
  • Exfoliate the epidermis for smoother skin.
  • It stimulates the dermis and hypodermis.
  • Decreases muscle tension.
  • Stimulates muscles, breaks down cellulite and fatty deposits, eliminates toxins, improves lymphatic drainage and takes inches off. Vacuum therapy also helps restore the skin’s decreases in muscle tension.

There are three parts to this treatment:

Vacuum Cupping Suction to concentrate on, and exercise the muscles to assist with lifting loose skin, this includes a vibrating massage to stimulate blood and lymph circulation and can help to soften localised fatty deposits.

Low Frequency Microcurrent Therapy – This helps stimulate, tighten and firm the muscles which helps restore a firmer shape for the bottom. As the muscles weaken and sag with age and gravity, the skin overlying them also droops. Micro Current Therapy works on reflexes found within each muscle, which control length and tone. As the muscles work to regain tone, so does the skin. This is achieved without any harm to the dermis.

Low Level Light Therapy Skin Rejuvenation – This helps to rebuild the collagen and elastin fibres, thus allowing overall glowing skin. It also helps to eliminate cellulite, stretch marks and pigmentation, this is due to the photochemical reactions of certain wavelengths of light to our cell membranes and enzymes. Compromised cells respond better than healthy cells to photochemical reactions so that brief treatments with low level light on damaged tissue can induce a complex chain of physiological reactions to enhance tissue regeneration, reduce acute inflammation and even to make our skin look younger and more vibrant.

Sessions have immediate results, and, in many cases, a real difference may be seen in as few as 1-3 sessions.

The results initially last around 7-10 days, the more sessions you have the longer the results last.

Results vary from person to person but with repeated use you could build up to 2 years between top up sessions! See it as training for your buttocks. Just like when you exercise a muscle, once is not enough for it to stay toned, it needs repetition to gain strength at each use.

Each treatment session takes around 15-30 minutes

Vacuum-therapy stimulates muscles, breaks down cellulite and fatty deposits, eliminates toxins, improves lymphatic drainage and takes inches off. Vacuum therapy also helps restore the skin’s natural elasticity to smooth the appearance of facial wrinkles and “orange-peel” dimpling in the thighs and buttocks.

This therapy is painless, safe and highly effective. Vacuum-therapy, through the combination of its different action mechanisms stimulates the blood and performs lymphatic drainage. This is a direct stimulation to the fibroblast as well as an increment in collage elastic, improving the texture and tone of the treated zone.

Suction cups simultaneously placed on the buttocks correct and tone the gluteal muscles; shaping, lifting and plumping the buttocks.

Yes, everyone is a candidate for the Brazilian Butt Lift. Even those who have butt implants can receive treatment with proper pre-evaluation.

We place the pulse frequency cups on the buttocks, leaving them fixed for a period of 40 minutes. Suction pressure is maintained according to patient comfort and the discretion of the therapist (this depends on the tone of the buttock).

Results vary case by case. Many patients are satisfied after eight treatments. However, during your consultation, we can discuss a treatment plan that will meet your specific treatment needs. We recommend two maintenance treatments per month after the original treatment.

The Brazilian Butt Lift procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Oftentimes, patients return to work after the session is over.

Like any other cosmetic treatment, results are  permanent only with proper post care. We recommend exercising for a longer lasting result.

We have found through much Research and Development that both therapies in combination will maximize results. This unique treatment can be done up to 3 to 4 times a week. It’s a non invasive organic way of contouring the body!

Vacuum Cupping is based on the tried and tested principles of Chinese medicine, which dates back many centuries. Combining this process with the latest in technological advancements allows us to provide a uniquely effective treatment.

In addition to the vacuum suction, we use intense pulse light therapy (IPL), radio frequency massage and light therapy.

The session lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which time the combined technologies will increase the blood flow in the capillaries, thickening the connective tissue and encouraging enlargement of the breasts.

The suction causes the muscles below the breast to contract and strengthen and may cause the breasts to appear firmer while the muscles remain tight. Over the course of treatments, the muscles will gain a more permanent state as they become stronger and more toned, leading to a fuller appearance on the surface.

Over the course of treatments, the muscles will gain a more permanent state as they become stronger and more toned, leading to a fuller appearance on the surface.

You shouldn’t expect an overnight result while making use of the vacuum therapy; it normally takes about one months before you see visible results . After a few weeks, women will begin to see fuller breasts, but the actual tissue growth takes a while, so it is important not to get discouraged, most women saw an increase of up to two cup sizes larger over a period of six months. The longer you pump the bigger breasts will become, in fact some women have achieved up to 4 cup sizes bigger One benefit of vacuum therapy is that using this method gives women long-term results, unlike breast enlargement from using breast creams or supplements which can fade quickly.

Cosmetic surgery has been very popular for centuries, in fact, plastic surgery dates back to India as early as 800 BC. Today there is a cosmetic procedure for just about any body part,  but for women breast augmentation is still the most popular, figures estimate that every year around 300,000 women have some sort of breast surgery performed,  and while it is very popular,  it is neither cheap and it can be risky. Doctors claim that breast implants can last for 15 years but in most cases saline implants can begin to leak, shift and have to be replaced within the first 5 years, requiring another surgical procedure.

Vacuum therapy benefits:

  • Increase breast size
  • Firm and lift breasts
  • Give women shapelier breasts
  • No surgery required
  • Cheaper than breast surgery

FAQ

Yes, this treatment is perfect for you as you would have gone that little bit bigger so there will be some elasticity in your breast tissues, again this works for anyone who has had weight loss.

Absolutely not! This is noninvasive so you can go back to your normal daily routine straight after treatment.

Our highly trained technician will set a programme to suit you. Treatments can be 4-7 days apart.

No. We cannot perform this treatment on anyone who has had surgical boob job

A session lasts anything between 30-40 minutes, but our clinic rooms are very comfortable and all have flat screen tv’s so the time is occupied.

Only surgical implants can produce what could be considered permanent. However this treatment is built from your own natural breasts and tissues, therefore as it’s not in your natural DNA to have plumper, bigger breasts, you have to maintain your desired size. The more sessions you have the longer the results last.

One session can last anything from 2-7 days. Again, the more sessions you have the longer the results last. Some can last weeks or months with maintenance. Maintenance sessions can ensure that your results last longer.

None of our clients consider the treatment to be painful, but it may feel slightly uncomfortable for the first 5-10 minutes of treatment, but this settles. Many people find it quite relaxing!

Immediately after treatment the area may be red this is due to the increase in blood circulation, but this completely fades within 20 minutes – similar to an eyebrow wax. If you decide not to have further sessions the breasts return to normal size and appearance they were before treatment. There are no permanent marks or scarring.

B12 Injections

B12 Injection

B12 is involved in producing red blood cells, maintaining a healthy nervous system, and converting food to energy. It also helps to regulate the immune system and mood, and control levels of the amino acid homocysteine, elevated levels of which are associated with heart disease. Most people who eat meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products get enough B12. Vegans are advised to eat fortified food and take supplements.

Helps With Red Blood Cell Formation and Anaemia Prevention, May Prevent Major Birth Defects, Supports Bone Health and Prevent Osteoporosis, Reduce Your Risk of Macular Degeneration, Improve Mood and Symptoms of Depression.  Benefits Your Brain by Preventing the Loss of Neurons and Give You an Energy Boost.

Vitamin B12 plays a vital role in helping your body produce red blood cells.

Low vitamin B12 levels cause a reduction in red blood cell formation and prevent them from developing properly (2Trusted Source).

Healthy red blood cells are small and round, whereas they become larger and typically oval in cases of vitamin B12 deficiency.

Due to this larger and irregular shape, the red blood cells are unable to move from the bone marrow into the bloodstream at an appropriate rate, causing megaloblastic anaemia.

Vitamin B-12 is an essential water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in many functions in the body, including:

DNA synthesis

energy production

nerve cell health

red blood cell formation

neurological function

B-12 is present in many food sources (mainly animal-based), where it is bound to the protein molecules in that food. Vitamin B-12 is separated from the protein during digestion and is absorbed into the bloodstream.

Adequate stomach acid is required to release the vitamin from the protein, and a substance called intrinsic factor is necessary to ensure its absorption. People who are unable to absorb vitamin B-12 properly may have pernicious anaemia, which is a type of anaemia characterized by a lack of intrinsic factor. The average daily intake of vitamin B-12, as recommended by the Office of Dietary Supplements, is 2.4 micrograms (mcg) for men and women over 14. Pregnant and breastfeeding women require slightly more, at 2.6 mcg and 2.8 mcg, respectively.

When you’re anaemic, your body doesn’t have enough red blood cells to transport oxygen to your vital organs. This can cause symptoms like fatigue and weakness.

What we offer at London Body Centre

Intramuscular injections, also referred to as booster shots, are administered into larger muscles in the body, most commonly in the bottom or the arm, to deliver nutrients directly into the bloodstream If you are looking to improve your energy for a healthy and active lifestyle then you should consider a Vitamin B12 Shot.

This can be beneficial for:

A healthier brain
Your cardiovascular system
Your physical and psychological well-being
Vitamin B12 may help with increased production and an earlier release of melatonin can aid the regulation of sleep.

You may also notice an improvement in the following symptoms:

Stress levels
Fatigue
Brain Fog
Physical Stamina
Immune system

They can be used intermittently and are a popular rejuvenation therapy for exhaustion or if you are feeling run down. for higher absorption.

Things you may not know about Vitamin B12 deficiency:

Early symptoms include weakness and fatigue
Heartburn drugs can cause it
Taking birth control pills sets you up for it
Heavy drinking increases your odds
It can trigger a false positive on a Pap test
It’s linked to pernicious anaemia
It’s linked to immune system issues
Digestive problems can cause it

Vitamin B12 is essential for a healthy brain and immune system. Your metabolism suffers without it. It’s different from the other vitamins however and is really only found in animal products (eggs, meat, shellfish and dairy) and so vegans, vegetarians and celiacs often struggle to receive enough Vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 deficiency signs include exhaustion, rapid heartbeat, brain fog, and other symptoms.

Vitamin B12 shot for boosting your levels and improving your health and well-being.

Consent form must be read and consultation carried out to ensure you can have the treatment.

The area is then cleaned and injection is administered into the top of the arm.

People who cannot absorb B12 need regular injections. When injections first are administered, a patient with severe symptoms may receive five to seven during the first week to restore the body’s reserves of this nutrient. A response usually is seen within 48 to 72 hours, with brisk production of new red blood cells.

During recovery we recommend that you avoid:

  • Swimming pools, spas and saunas for 3 days.
  • Physical exercise for 10 days.
  • Any other aesthetic treatments for 2 weeks.

Hydroxocobalamin is a manufactured version of vitamin B12. It works by increasing your levels of vitamin B12 so that you can make red blood cells that work properly to carry oxygen around your body. This helps to reduce symptoms such as tiredness and lack of energy.

Hydroxocobalamin gets to work straight away. However it may take a few days or weeks before your vitamin B12 levels and symptoms (such as extreme tiredness or lack of energy) start to improve.

Weakness and fatigue are common symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency. They occur because your body doesn’t have enough vitamin B12 to make red blood cells, which transport oxygen throughout your body. As a result, you are unable to efficiently transport oxygen to your body’s cells, making you feel tired and weak

The effects of our shots vary between individuals. Most people feel the effects for about one week.

It is highly beneficial for the metabolic processes that take place inside your body. This is because of its role in converting complex carbohydrates into simple glucose chains that are used by cells to gain energy.

This explains why excess fatigue is often discovered to be the result of a vitamin B12 deficiency. The nervous system requires vitamin B12 for effective signaling by neurotransmitters for when the muscles need to contract.

This mechanism is what allows your body to do the simplest of tasks without feeling exhausted so quickly.

B12 is administered via a small injection into the muscle of the upper arm. Taking only a couple of minutes.

You should start to notice a difference after a week, but can take up to 3 weeks to feel full effect.

The main side effect is injection site redness or tenderness.

After determining that a patient is lacking sufficient B12 via a simple blood test, the quick and easy solution is to administer B12 through either supplements or injections. Most patients who are lacking B12 experience decreased energy and lower metabolism, making it problematic to stay on track with a diet or fitness regimen. 1 of the 12 B vitamins, helps with metabolism, clarity, and focus. PRP – Patelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment is an autologous treatment that is completely holistic as it uses your own blood, no synthetic materials. The treatment works based on the body’s natural healing process. It is a new holistic revolutionary repair system.

What is PRP therapy? The procedure involves taking the patient’s blood and concentrating the levels of platelets and growth factors to promote healing in injured tissue. PRP as a therapy is used  to treat both clinical and aesthetic indications including; wound healing, burn trauma, tennis elbow, skin rejuvenation, under eye circles, hair restoration, cellulite, acne scars, acne and rosacea, pigmentation and much more.

What we offer at London Body Centre

PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles, and fine lines. Because it boosts collagen, it’s also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone. It is particularly good for people who suffer from rosacea or acne.

PRP is extremely effective for treating difficult to treat areas, such as the delicate under eye area where clients often notice signs of ageing first but where no laser can be used.

A Treatment for Hair Loss. When your plasma is injected into the scalp, the growth factors in your blood cells help stimulate your hair growth cells to produce thicker hair over time.

Increase Volume in Your Face. The PRP process helps your body produce more collagen in the treated areas, naturally. This increase in collagen can help restore volume to areas that appear sunken.

Say Goodbye to Wrinkles and Fine Lines. A fantastic benefit of the PRP treatment is that it can help significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This means you can get a more youthful look in a short period without going under the knife.

The Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) facial popularized as the ‘vampire facial’ is a treatment that uses the plasma from your blood to help stimulate skin cell regeneration in the area it’s applied. This treatment is not just a trend; it has real skin and hair care benefits.  It’s 100% Natural! PRP uses your blood to plasma which the practitioner then injects into the desired areas, not chemicals. This means it is the ideal procedure for anyone who feels worried about injecting foreign substances into their body.

Since PRP uses your plasma, there’s very little risk of side effects because the material comes from your body on top of the low-risk factor of the treatment as a whole. The last thing you want is results that only last for a short period. But people that get PRP treatments report having results that last for several years.

Leading up to your appointment, you should avoid any nsaids such as aspirin, ibuprofen diclofenac, celecoxib. Anticoagulation medicines should be stopped 3 weeks prior to treatment. No alcohol should be consumed for 72 hours prior to treatment. Avoid Vit E for at least 1 week, as well as herbal supplements and fish oils.

A medical professional draws blood from a vein in the arm. We then place the blood sample in a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins the blood, separating its components.

The platelets are then extracted using a syringe. They are then injected with platelets into targeted areas that require the therapy.

The entire process may take about 1 hour, and several sessions may be necessary.

Patients may experience approximately two to three days of being sore after joint injections. People receiving PRP for soft tissue injuries can expect pain for a few days.  They may also experience stiffness.

Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first three to four months, and then every three to six months thereafter, depending on the individual patient’s response and results. Following this protocol, anticipated results can first be seen within two to three months.

Regenerating Tissue Therapy – Research studies and clinical practice have indicated that platelet rich plasma therapy is very advantageous.  Both ultrasound and MRI images have outlined definitive tissue repair and remodelling after treatment, validating the successful healing process.

PRP Common Areas of Use; osteoarthritis of the knee, hip and spine, shoulder, rotator cuff tears, ankle sprains, tennis elbow, tendonitis, ligament sprains.

We are all aware that the body has an amazing ability to heal itself. One of the body’s first responses to soft tissue injury is to immediately begin delivering platelets to the area to stimulate a healing response. These are filled with the capacity of growth factors that kick off the repair process, attracting further crucial aids of stem cells. By utilising this perfectly natural mechanism, PRP amplifies the body’s efforts by providing a higher concentration of platelets and notably increasing the body’s natural healing and further stimulating self-healing mechanisms.

It is completely safe. Patients with whom PRP Therapy has been applied have shown noticeable improvements in their pain levels as well as functional levels.

Since your own blood will be used during the procedure, there will be minimal risk associated with this procedure. PRP is performed in a sterile, clinic-based environment, without the need for any general anaesthetic or hospitalisation.

PRP Therapy assists in reducing pain and inflammation through the promotion of healing, where it can supply lasting results. Initial improvement can be seen within just a few weeks of PRP treatment.

The ultimate goal of Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment is to provide a treatment solution towards reducing pain and inflammation caused by an injury. It does so by speeding up the healing process and promoting recovery.

FAQ

PRP has a wide range of uses, but it is especially valuable in orthopedic medicine. Conditions like osteoarthritis of the knee, shoulder, hip, and sacroiliac joint can all be treated with PRP. Injuries to the spine, rotator cuff tears, plantar fasciitis, ACL injuries, tennis elbow, chronic tendonitis, ligament sprains, chronic neck pain, and lower back pain have also responded well to PRP treatments!

Generally a PRP injection requires an initial visit to see if the injury would benefit from such treatment, then a follow-up visit for the treatment itself is scheduled. The actual injection process takes about 45 minutes and a majority of that time involves drawing and processing the patient’s blood for the injection.

Here are some general guidelines:

Pain duration of 3-6 months or longer

Persistent pain despite physical therapy, activity modification, NSAIDs

Wishes to pursue alternative to surgical treatment

Patients typically tolerate the procedure well, although post-injection soreness is expected given the PRP-induced inflammatory response, in some cases.

One to six treatments depending on the degree of injury and how long the injury has been there.

Severe anemia, low platelet count, abnormal platelet function, active systemic infection or active cancers are all contra-indications.

Most patients notice some element of improvement by 2 to 6 weeks after the treatment.

Any one with a cancer (such as prostate cancer or breast cancer), not in remission for at least 5 years.

Certain other malignancies or blood borne diseases that you are being treated for

Any current infection

Patients using a high dosage of Coumadin

General procedural contraindication

Patients with multiple medical issues may not be good candidates

How quickly you can return to your normal activities depends on the condition and body part being treated. Injections in the elbow or shoulder may be placed in a sling for 48 hours to 1 week or more and then as needed for comfort.

For the ankle (Achilles tendon, peroneal tendon, plantar fascia), you will be required to wear a walking boot for up to two weeks or more. (If the injection is on the right side, you will not be able to drive with the boot on.)

If you have an injection in your knee for osteoarthritis, you only need to rest for 24 hours and then you can return to your normal activities. If the injection is in your patellar tendon or quadriceps tendon, your knee may be placed in a knee immobilizer for 1-2 days.

Most procedures will begin therapy 1 week after the injection.

PRP does not offer quick pain relief. Pain gradually subsides as the injured tissue repairs and pain relieving factors activate. This can take weeks or months, but when successful, the effect is lasting. If relief is not sufficient at 3 months, a second injection may be performed. Maximum effects are usually seen at 6-9 months. Some knee joints may require 2 injections in closer succession.

Do not take anti-inflammatory medication such as Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Mobic, Naproxen, Nabumetone, or Diclofenac for 7 days prior to the injection and several weeks after the last injection. Pain medication will be prescribed the day of the procedure to be taken as needed. A regular aspirin regimen (81mg/day) is okay. Tylenol/Acetaminophen is allowed.
